Striving For a Dream...

(Dedicated to Some Dear Friends...)

I've a few minutes it seems, to write down some of My dreams, but know not where to even begin.
Shattered and torn I hope they will be reborn, to come back to Me once again...

Life is full of hope lost, at an all consuming cost, of keeping the wanter at bay.
To Dream again of Hope, in all of Life's scope, I want to feel that again soon one day...

I hear there is light at the end of that tunnel, in all of Lifes funnel, that we are supposed to look for and try to get to.
But it seems there are things in My way, ever more each and every day, that keep that light just ahead, steps away that seems to elude...

Onward I strive to keep any form of a Dream alive, that I will push onward to try and reach.
Step after step I will walk, right on down that path, through the deep sands that lay along lifes beach...

Running pell-mell today to finish my to-do list, I stopped by my open laptop and scanned New Topics, sending me here.
After reading your post, everything slowed down and I sat for a spell contemplating the wonderful words you shared. Thanks for providing me with respite, introspection, and thoughts of others. Beautiful, just beautiful.

We may not always know what steps to take.

Not going down the wrong path will eventually lead to the right one.

That is the dilemma isn't it? Which is the right one and all that? I am just going to go willy nilly and see what happens! Can't be any worse off than where I am now really...

Just remember that if you get lost along the way, it's not necessarily a bad thing. It can be an adventure getting back on track and you can find yourself farther along that you were before.

This definitely spoke to me, as it probably does for many people. Great writing as well, thanks for sharing!

It speaks to the notion of focus, determination and long and short term goals - and being able to actualize them. I don't know how it is for other people, but I think artistic types have a hard time visualizing a goal - one needs an "attractor", in the future as it were, for one to be able to have a target. The whole idea of a writer asking the question "who is my audience" - this sort of thing. The world seems ever more fragmented and preoccupied. I guess the best way to do it is just hash it out on one's own and try to put it out there in some tangible form. Hard to do if you ever find yourself disconnected from a larger social matrix.

Ummm...chin up bro...sometimes you gotta watch out for those lights in tunnels...cause dragons may be big...but trains are even bigger...

I loved this poem...and while it would be easy to say "been there done that"...It brought to mind how focusing outward helped bring me through times such as these...

I believe they are finally being presented today. Glad to have discovered this website just by researching my date of birth. Just remember your dreams are your destiny, you just have to sacfrice to obtain it!

The sacrifice is what hurts. Usually hurts someone else is what sucks.... I've been hurt time and time again, but hate to hurt others in my way of obtaining some truths!

I'm right there with you. Just remember we're in this together, always. Wouldn't we rather know the truth than continuing our lives wondering the what if ? Don't let others emotions and interests derail you from your truths and excitements !
