Will we ever be able to make a system that works for 100% of humans?

40,000 years from now maybe.

A chain is always weak from it's strongest link.

All of it, wishful thinking.

Having faith in humankind to be anything other than greedy, biased, lying, hypocrites, is lost in ignorance. No offense. Without a strangle hold over the hearts and minds of everyone, we'll continue to see the perpetual/irrevocable decay of humankind.

A system that would work? Education. Not restricted education, not flawed or ideological education. Pure unadulterated education free from the bounds of persecution, ridicule, or cost.

The smartest societies always seem to do well.

*Oh, and add a little compassion in the mix. Wondrous results.

I feel that grades kindergarten - 2nd grade should be thought the basics like reading, writing and basic math but after 2nd grade the rest of their school career should be them choosing electives. Let them learn what they want so they can be who they want to be. There could be many choices for them like agriculture, music, acting, art, science, Medicine, math, automotive, architecture, etc. let the children carve out their own future. I think it's pointless to force children to take mandatory classes.

In reply to the people who say it cant happen maybe that's the reason it never will. think about the amount of people with good hearts verses the ones who want power. We defiantly outnumber them. all we need to do is band together and peacefully demand a change.

in reply to the guy using over population as a reason it wouldn't work; do you really believe we don't have enough room on this earth for everyone to live? think about all the people who own acres and acres of empty land they will never use. Maybe if we promote a society where helping others makes you able to live well off then they will find the motivation to donate some land to build homes for people without one.

You will never get 100% of the people to agree.

Other than the ability to trade goods and services I don't want anything from society except to be left alone. You can keep everything else.

Forgive me. For someone that only wants to be 'left alone', you spend an awful lot of time 'interacting' with others on ATS.

I don't have a problem with a VOLUNTARY society. One interacts with others (or society) only when it is mutually agreed upon. I am willing to discuss ideas and such on the internet because I can CHOOSE to turn off my computer at anytime and CHOOSE with whom I wish to interact.

ETA: You can keep your socialism and any form of government that thinks it can inflict anything upon me other than protecting individuals from crimes against person and property.

Maybe a first step would be to create a base system then have others add ideas to perfect it. I think a voting system that can accommodate a united world will really get people on board.

This can be done using Cryptocurrency, Smart Contracts & Smart Assets

"A triple Blockchain system gives multiple dimension to the BitCongress™ Network. Combining Bitcoin, Counterparty & Smart Contracts as a system suite with a series of Features, Applications, Services & Platforms giving new case uses for the Voting Blockchain system. BitCongress™ as a decentralized system of networks gives true security, accessibility, independence & viability. With Bitcoin being used as a primary infrastructure with its Blockchain ledger and funding platform. Counterparty as a VOTE token management system to distribute VOTES to Voters. The BitCongress Smart Contract Blockchain or an indipendent blockchain creates elections & legislation within a smart contract." www.bitcongress.org... = bitcongress.org

This Software will be a Decentralized Application or "Dapp"
built using open systems such as JS, HTML5, CSS3 & more.

This is a good option but I have to do more research on it. I'm not sure how much human interaction the program needs to keep up and running and I feel we would need something that is as independent as possible to prevent people from illegally manipulating it for their own gain. I'm about to break down what AXIOMITY uses to see what each of them individually does. I'll update when i get more info. To me tho it seems like something like this needs to be build from the ground up specifically for the purpose of a united world where everyone gets a say. One thing that I just thought about is what about people who don't have access to the internet?

Bitcoin Could Change Voting the Way It's Changed Money
motherboard.vice.com...

Imagine that instead of a bitcoin, there's a set of “coins” with a unique marker inside the current bitcoin blockchain that indicates a specific vote. This can be achieved today with the "colored coins" technology. Let's call these "Votecoins."

Each registered voter gets a Votecoin through the election organizer—say, the US government. The government also sets up what's effectively "yes" and "no,” or maybe it’s "candidate A" and "candidate B” wallets. When it comes time to vote, you send your Votecoin to the wallet of your choice, just like a bitcoin transaction.

bitcoin-based voting is to move closer to a direct or “liquid” democracy rather than a strictly representative one—to allow for more engagement in the political process.

As much as that sounds like a great idea...it will never work. For example, if you make shelter, clothes, food, etc. something provided even to those who won't work or contribute...how do you fund that? By the people who do work, etc.? Sooner or later those paying for those who are a drain on society will either revolt, kill the deadbeat or join them in doing nothing. You can't treat everyone completely equal unless the people are completely equal.

Don't forget, we are humans. We screw up everything we do. We look at a beautiful world full of amazing magic and wonder why we are the only ones who don't have it. We don't because we are the exception...the problem.
