With the amount of time I've wasted on ATS, I could have...

1) Earned a second degree.
2) Learned to play an instrument.
3) Started a nice garden.
4) Written a book.
5) Kept my house spotless.
6) Been at the gym.
7) Learned a new language.
8) Invented things.

Well guess i could have pretended that i matter, that this giant ant hill is actually moving forvards, that i am building a better tomorrow, instead of welding engine parts for chinese ships. it does not matter. You do not matter. we are worth jack and you guessed it.

You are right, of course.
I am going to limit myself to 1/2 hour of ATS per day and log off when that 1/2 hour is up, no matter how interesting a thread is. The thread will still be there tomorrow.

I think about how much time I have spent on doom porn threads about Yellowstone alone... and you know what? Yellowstone has not blown up yet, and if it did, the last thing that I would be doing then would be logging onto ATS.

I just thought about how many hours I waste on this site debating people and reading doom porn and it has done absolutely nothing to improve my life aside from being a bit more knowledgeable about current events than my friends.

I could have written an epic best seller. But, I learn things here every day. Last night I learned how to make flesh (peach) colored paint. Did you know that you use green to do it? I sure didn't.

I've done 2 and 3 and I''m working on 4. I also did 7 when I was younger but I forgot most of it.

I've have a few plans for 8-an maglev toy train set, and a doomsday weapon that I want to use in 4. I would like to include a 9-playing a sport again. I was a representative player in the past and I'd like to think that I could make the grade eventually but in sports 30 is the new 60.

There is no waste if awareness and education in the previously unknown has been provided. I have learned much on ATS and feel no waste of my time.
