You are failing to understand something repeatedly, so i am going to spend time typing it once more.

An accurate map for distance does not exist for ANY model, those things are irrelevant, there is no accurate way of measuring it, flight times differ by an hour sometimes more for most flights, how many bloody times do i have to give you the same answer? Its irrelevant!!

You are literally drawing imaginary lines then saying, there see, how does that work? As i said, i can also draw lines all day, do you have any personal experience on those flights, and do you have personal experience in knowing exactly where the plane was or its exact route on the way to its destination?

I have real world experience of navigating across oceans in both the southern and Northern hemispheres. You ignore what you are told. There is zero point in continuing this.

But you don't have to make it so complicated, you are asking things that are beyond any one of us here.

Grab binoculars, go to the beach, because water keeps true level, so the horizon your seeing should be due to curvature. Bring your binoculars up to your face, and look through them, come back and tell me why am i seeing water and a horizon go further beyond the curvature? When you have the answer for me for a simple observation, we can have a conversation.

Like what? The only thing im getting here is, is that you all, are ignoring a very simple observation, for some odd reason beyond my understanding of the human mind, none of you can tell me why i am seeing a horizon, or any object for that matter beyond my own perspective limits?? Why are you all ignoring that? It's so simple, no maps, or complicated equations built upon equations, no huge sums of wealth are needed, just a couple of hours and a nice clear day, how hard can that be.

if the earth is flat, why are you seeing a definite horizon at all? should it not just slowly fuzz out into "somethingness"

take another look through your binoculars out to see. don't look at am object, look at the horizon itself. why does the sea just "end" only a few miles away? what is behind that? where do all the sailing ships go when they go past that line? why cant you even see the big ones?

WHY CANT I SEE FRANCE? its not super far in a straight line from me, especially on a clear day


Where do the planes go? watch one long enough and it dips below that horizon line. does it just fall out into space? have you been on a plane for a long flight? did you end up in space? were you in flight for longer than you can watch a plane horizon to horizon on the ground and yet travelled a great distance?

The thing is your post was 100% inline with flat earthers that i had discussions with. Even when i re-read your post now i cannot distinguish it from one of theirs if i ignore the fact that you came out and told me it was supposed to be a joke. That shows how ridiculous these people in fact are tbh.

It is that complicated. If the earth was flat all those things that i mentioned need to be faked and kept secret It is simply the implication of your claim that the earth is flat and in some sort of dome and that cannot be ignored and so that requires explanation for each and every one of them.

So tell me, how is the entire world faking our satellite system?

How are they keeping it a secret that the north pole is actually a huge wall of ice around us and how do you explain that those are somehow protected by navy vessels across such a humongous diameter??

How do all countries in the world and their space programs and all people in the world with telescopes hide everything from the rest

and how did they manage to do all of that for so long?

I never said anything about a North Pole ice wall that surrounds us? What? If anything, maybe you should read back on the post, i don't like this,your coming here saying wrong things first of all, then yoy insult, and add to that we just discussed all those things in this thread, go back to the beginning if you have to.

You are expecting me to be good at geography, astronomy, economics, science, religion and to mention the plethora of mathematical equations, plus i have to be a genius.

All i can tell you is, you have a flat observable surface like water, there is a curvature calculation which is based on ancient observations, which will tell you what you should be seeing, what im getting at, is that one can simply use binoculars to see beyond the calculated ''horizon''.

can a someone prove there's a firmament
by bouncing something off it ?

you wouldn't have to trek to the ends of the earth

Legal boundaries, not as in the firmament, i never even mentioned a dome or religious texts, where are you getting this from?

If you read the thread you will have your answers, don't just come at me telling me i said things i have never even thought about, what god damn firmament???

I don't watch flat earth videos, there is no such map, there is a reference that some use to as to how the layout might work, and its called the equidistant projection, that is all it is, not a map of a flat earth.

I have already mentioned this.

Brimley Beach, Pickering Ontario.

At the height of 25 feet, looking across lake Ontario, on a clear day, one can see the Somerset smoke stack roughly 50 miles away, across the lake.

At those altitudes and visible target distance the smoke stack which towers at 600ft should be obscured by roughly 1200ft of curvature.

Technically 600ft taking into account the smoke stacks max high minus the 1200ft or so of curvature.
