Ok fellow Avnerds, I've seen you guys do this before. It's time to see who can help me out here. I took this picture at Mojave today, and can't remember what one of the aircraft in it is. I know I've seen it before. I remember the odd exhaust and elevator section. But I can't for the life of me remember what it is.

Just above the dumpster is what I'm looking at. It looks like a triple rocket engine exhaust. Anyone?

Could you give us a description of what you saw. It looks like a cockpit canopy above the three holes to me? I'm sure you got a better view than the picture shows.

I noticed it to on the other thread. The canopy is what caught my attention. And I can only make out what may be the front landing gear.
I'll keep checking back. To see if there is a definitive answer.

Not much of one TBH. I couldn't get too close to it, and I couldn't get around where I could get a better angle of it.

It is a canopy though. It looks like the rear section was at least partially removed.

Not sure, almost looks like an experimental aircraft to me. I don't think those holes are rocket exhaust though.
Too close to the wings. It probably has a prop on the front.

No, it looks like the back was at least partially removed. But I know that I've seen this before. It looked like rocket exhaust from a distance, but it looks more like the back was removed when you zoom in.

Retraction, was looking at big yellow (which also isn't a Zenith). Perhaps a fan wing something-or-other? a reply to: CessnaKC

Almost looks like a Rutan, or similar experimental aircraft.
Tailless design, with the motor removed. Pusher configuration.

Look at the wings in perspective of the canopy. The wings are behind the canopy.
Then look at the zenith zodiac CH 650. The wings are at the canopy sides.

Look to the lower right of the yellow plane, above the blue trash bin. It's stainless steel.

There seems to be some confusion I'll post a snapshot of a enlargement of the Object in question.

Any chance that could be an old Aircraft instrument panel?

One of the old Rutan "Eze" types missing some parts was my first thought as well, but... looks like a retractable nose wheel close to the fence which would be the back of the plane? I think the three holes are vents and wiring access into the back of the cockpit.

I say. That's really close! There's even a blue bin behind it over the fence. Zaphod? Does that pic line up with yours?

ETA: the only difference is the canopy in zaphods photo is more aerodynamic. Rounded off. But that could be a replacement.
