New Alien franchise - ?What you would want to see in it.

There seems to be a good chance of more Alien films being made (go Sigourney).
With this being the prospect I ask how you think these films should progress.

I would like to see a epic trilogy made that takes place on the Earth which is at war with the alien xenos.

Yep and looks like Neill Blomkamp will be the director.
I've liked his movies so far, district 9 was great and visually amazing considering he had a very low budget.
i've been a fan of aliens for a long time, so of course i want a proper ending for the series (at least in terms of Ripley´s story arch) and alien isolation was just not the way to end things.
If the movie continues right after isolation, then Ripley is in paris, and paris is leveled to the ground (presumably) because of the Xeno.
hey maybe the movie will tell us how someone found the queen from aliens drifting in space and they brought her back to earth!

Sounds cool,IMO.

There are some novels about the Aliens getting to Earth from back in the early to mid 90's.

I don't recall the Predators being in them.

I seem to remember the books portraying the Engineers a lot differently than in Prometheus,as well.

Don't want to spoil them if you haven't read them yet-so I'll zip my trap,lol.

Thanks to Ridley Scot we have learnt in Prometheus that "the Alien" is an unlikely cross breed between the Giants (our creators a.k.a Gods) and some kind of insect or invertebrate..whatever.
I would enjoy to see fights between giants and humans and the aliens in between. Better: the giants and humans uniting to get rid of the out of control Aliens.

I most definitely agree. I think she could pull off the B.A. alien killer chick role.

Well Alien 3 and 4 is not canon now because Hicks will be in the next one.
The dark horrse graphic novels were amazing and If they follow that route I will be well chuffed.
Oh and will we see newt again?.

Oh, better yet. Allison Scagliotti could play a grown up Newt, shaped by the horrors she suffered during her childhood. Now turned B.A. alien hunter, her hatred for the Xeno's knows no bounds. Think a female Punisher type.

aliens xenos arrive at earth after a zombie apocalypse. maybe throw in some dinosaurs as well.
And Abraham Lincoln with a mini gun ....also....and a bunch of strippers and porn stars with some S&M thrown in for the ladies. Call it 50 shades of great.

Id like a movie that didnt portray them as evil and wanting to kill us, i think that plot has been beat to death.

I don't think a movie about the aliens popping around for a chat and a brew will go down that well.
They were created to kill.

From what I understand this movie ignores the events of the last two (this explains why Hicks is in it).

The first Alien was groundbreaking science fiction (and one of the scariest movies of all time) while Aliens added the action element to the franchise. My wishlist starts with hoping the film can stand on it's own. Other things I'd like to see are more about the Space Jockey and why The Company want to bring a Xeno to earth (and what happens if/when they succeed).

Like most people I like the Alien saga much and welcome any other new Alien movie. Sigorney Weaver will be a treat in this coming movie... I really hope they come with a good story and will not f(8% it up because a compromise had to be made between parties with interests in the succes of the movie.

Allison Scagliotti is a nice girl but I doubt it she can portray a cold blooded hard knuckle alien killer. I am thinking which actress could do he job and there are a few but these women are allready know for their 'killer instincts' in other movies.... so I rather see a new face without associating the actress to her previous performances.

I am refering to names like Milla Jovovich or Katee Sackhoff (battlestar galacitica). No, I would love to see a talented actress we all know to be like the girl from next door but will deliver a pleasant surprise as the ruthless alien killer. If Allison Scaglotti can deliver I am all for it.

i think they will be canon all the same, they might go with the aliens colonial marine stuff as a way to get hicks back into the game, as long as the reason is at least plausible i do not mind bringing him back, but newt? let her stay dead, she is kinda central to the character of ripley.

what about Olivia Thirlby? the girl from the recent dredd remake?
sh was great at both playing the "victim" and beating people to a pulp, i really wish they put her in more movies, the girl has a ton of potential.
