Russian National Anthem honestly sounds better than most

I've heard British French Spanish you name it but Russian anthem i could listen to as classical music, i sh*t you not.

There is a reason Kerry is asking for more funds for information outlets to combat the Russia Today RT

I've been watching a mix of RT and western MSM like CNN fox bbc CBC etc

I've never heard full Russian Federation anthem till one time on RT

It is a mighty song with deep history, unlike American anthem worded in such a way that is shows only broken promises in modern times. American anthem would be awesome if only it ringed true.

But i never understood the need for an anthem in general, itś really just a form of brainwashing, instilling this fake sense of pride into young and impressionable children.

If the country is just and has sovereignty, you can be proud of achievements of your ancestors

For example Canadian national anthem used to really mean something until 9/11 and Canada became US NATO puppet in wars

US national anthem was awesome till they killed JFK and became modern day nazis

And so on

You like the Russian Anthem, and obviously Russia in general. Good for you. But why the dig at America? (Are you even American?) The American anthem is 'broken promises in modern times?' I don't think so. It's a battle song, thanking the brave and thanking God for winning the battles that need be fought. And the Russian anthem isn't so 'deep history'. They only came up with the words in the year 2000. I posted them below.

56% of Russians felt proud when hearing the national anthem.
39% could recall the words of the first line of the anthem.
25% of Russians said they liked it.

To make you feel a bit better, ours is even worse (but`s the oldest official song being an Anthem (it became only in 1932 our Anthem, but it`s from 1572 originally)...
