Was Obama actually a legal US citizen if his Daddy was already married to someone else?

In that as long as his mother was a US citizen he is as well and that was enough to make him a legal president of the united states.

The fact he was born in the USA makers him eligible to become President....
The fact that he had a American mother also confirms he is eligible to become President.

I still disagree. This FAQ would seem to say in many different situations that you only need one parent to be a US citizen to be a US citizen yourself.

americansabroad.org...

Notice the domain name of the website you linked: AmericansAbroad. They are discussing the situation for children born OVERSEAS. It has nothing to do with children born inside the United States. If you are born in America, the status of your parents is irrelevant. If you are born overseas, the status of your parents is relevant.

This next link if correct would seem to prove that anyone that is an American citizen could run for president. So...I'm right?

Well in theory there is nothing stopping ANYONE (citizen or not) from RUNNING for President. Only Natural Born Citizens are actually eligible to hold the office, however. Naturalized citizens are ineligible. There are only two kinds of citizens: Natural Born and Naturalized.

Running for President, being eligible, and being elected three different things.

Who cares?

His mother birthed him. His mother was a citizen.

EOS.
