BREAKING NEWS: Obama Vetoes Keystone Pipeline Bill

I have seen both positive and negative things regarding the Keystone Pipeline. What I find interesting is that this is the first veto of what should be a contentious two years period where Obama will be feuding with a Republican held Congress. Now the party of 'No' has become the Democrats who are also holding up funding for the DHS. We live in interesting times.

"The Presidential power to veto legislation is one I take seriously," Obama said. "But I also take seriously my responsibility to the American people. And because this act of Congress conflicts with established executive branch procedures and cuts short thorough consideration of issues that could bear on our national interest -- including our security, safety, and environment -- it has earned my veto."
