Help my bf and I figure out what song is stuck in our heads!!

Isn't it the worst when a song is stuck in your head, but none of the lyrics will come through so you can google it!? When I woke up this morning I had a random guitar riff stuck in my head, and my bf air guitared it over and over again all day while trying to figure it out. We can't figure it out, and it's slowly making us cranky.

To set the tone, I think it's a song that came out in the 2000's. I can remember it starting with maybe some stomping or clapping, and then a slightly distorted electric guitar starts like, bear with me here, DUN! DUN! da da dun dun dun dun DA DUN DUN! DA DUN DUN! Which then repeats. (Awesome representation, yes?) then a male starts singing, but not in any melodic kind of way. I remember it being some kind of pop punk kind of song?

Can ANYONE help us with this before we get Friday night drunk, and end up at a party that we just air guitar through, annoying our friends and loved ones!?

Yes, I do realize this doesn't translate well, which is why I made fun of myself, but you never know who thinks of sounds the same way you do.

For the record, the song I linked above starts exactly the way you described, with stomping and clapping.

Ahahah. Who could forget Wagner. If that had lyrics what would they be? " Kill the wabbit! Kill the wabbit!" I think that's wrong, but now it's in me head.

I also thought maybe The Hives, but nothing.

None! My memory cuts our right at that opening guitar riff.
