What preppers fail to understand is the damage this causes to families. Young minds are not geared for this level of fear and thought. It will change your family and not for the better. Kids should be allowed to be kids and not have the weight of the worlds problems heaped upon them.



Prepping is based in fear.......Fear is the true root of evil. And before you say this is not me.....I know. Many people can walk the fine line without letting the fear in.

What is the point of looking outside if the world ended. Nuclear war, nibiru crashing into the sun, AI takeover. All horrible.

So you are not trapped in a hole in the ground for years on end for no reason?

When you didn't hear/feel anything that sounded or felt like massive destruction going on, did it not make you wonder?

Don't let the others fool you. The world DID end. This is all a facade. You are like one of the last hundred or so humans left and you are being EXPERIMENTED ON.

Thank you. For power, I used an elevation change on the river and plumbed a pipe to get steady pressure and flow. I did have a battery bank and a backup generator with the exhaust plumbed outside for emergencies. We never used it. Heat was not an issue. The ground is cold enough where we live that we dressed warmly the whole time. The appliances were as small and efficient as possible.

Just going out on a limb here, but reading some of your other topics that you have either authored or commented on, you seem to think you are the most intelligent person on ATS while the rest of us just wander around aimlessly.

This is a great piece of fiction and no matter what you try to do to throw the rest of us off the scent of failure it really wont matter. We are ALL entitled to our opinion and thought. We just enjoy putting it down in text format for the rest of the world to read.

What'd you do for fresh air in there?

I "acquired" some NBC grade filters from a guy I know. Plus I had nitrogen ans o2 backup tanks and several guant compressed air tanks if the air stopped flowing

My family and I wanted to live, and folks here were so sure of the end. I guess I got caught up in it

the shaft opening is at the base of a hill. the bunker is 280 feet down from the entrance

Well you stopped posting march of 2012 and your back, so that checks out as far as logging in through that time in your bunker. I do notice that your sentence structure is different than before. You seem bitter whereas your old posts seemed bitter but had reasons for your comments. Must have been a long couple of years trapped in there. Any regrets? Forget anything that nagged at the back of your mind while you were down in the abyss? missing out on new seasons of game of thrones?
