I completely agree. I believe ISIS and Al-Qaeda is being controlled by an evil entity. For people to follow this ideology and believe a God would approve of brutally killing innocent men, women and children is nothing short of possessing ones mind.

I also believe the young are being influenced. There has definitely been an increase in hate, disrespect selfishness, greed, rude and violent behavior, ignorance, laziness, apathy and an increase in drug addiction. Morality and respect for one another is becoming a thing of the past. It really disgusts me, because I see it every day in the media and at work. The amount of physical fighting among young people, boys and girls is rather alarming. A majority of the time they're out for blood! When you see teenagers kicking someone on the ground like they're a piece of trash, really makes my blood boil!

Governments are stifling freedom, and the rights of individuals. They're oppressing the population and draining their citizen's of their hard earned money by taxing them to death.

The media can no longer be trusted.

Corporations, Insurance Companies and bankers are controlling and manipulating government policies and the population. Politicians are sending young men and women over seas to be killed and maimed for their own selfish reasons and to accommodate corporate interests so they control energy resources.

It sure seems like it to me.

With things like this ISIS video of them burning that pilot alive, like that poor girl who was burned alive by her boyfriend and this lady who abort her baby because it was male I am so disgusted by our actions that i want no part of this world anymore.

I am caught between wanting to live a happy and fun life but i am also sickened and maddened by the atrocities that humanity commits against itself in the name of religion and capitalism.

I see things happening like this and i have to ask myself whats really worth living for? Should i be trying to pursue financial interests and selfishly trying to make money so that me and my family can have a happy life or should i only focus on developing my spiritual self and focus on the next world?

Its entities like ISIS that ensure my perspective that there really is some spiritual unseen evil in this world influencing events by gaining control over people through their ego's. I dont know if its Satan or Lucifer or Jesus, I have no idea. This world seems to serve as some sort of proving grounds wherein you can earn place in the greater cosmic being as a lower or higher form of consciousness. This has to be true, i hope it is, i hope there is a heaven so people like the pilot and the girl can experience glory and love and that the people who did that to them experience the totality of loneliness and burn in an eternal fire. These events make me want to be a Christian, i want these things to be real so i can have assurance that these scum pay and the victims receive true rewards.

I get you about all of this making you question life.

And it does help to have some kind of "spiritual school" perspective.

Yes, evil exists. But good always wins.

So, don't lose heart. Keep your chin up and try to follow your heart and try to be noble enough.

I feel ya though. The world's a dark and scary place. But there's still good in it.

Hang in there man...All of these things are only temporary....As others have said here...put out some positive energy and live for a better day....Nothing lasts forever, even the evil paradigm of this temporary world and reality....I like to donate to charity, local shelters and do random acts of kindness to those around me...I like to reflect back on the good things that have happened in my life and those memories that make me laugh...You cannot choose for others or which way people will go..you can only control you and this has a direct outcome on your reality...Choose the light or the dark...it dictates a lot of things about your life and how it plays out...

Be thankful for what you have today for no one is promised tomorrow...Whether you believe in a Creator force (GOD ) or not...put out that positive energy...it DOES come back to you...a reply to: onequestion

I remind myself this: my immediate reality takes precedence over external information. In other words: have you witnessed with your own eyes today any of these things you listed that are causing you concern?

This is worth pointing out as a really good way to psychologically survive the 24 hour cable news cycle. The job of the cable news media is to keep all of us afraid, enraged, emotionally charged, and there are billions hanging in the balance - fortunes depending on these media outlets competing with each other for most terrifying moment in your day.

ISIL doesn't actually exist, as far as the daily life of the average 1st World inhabitant - unless, of course, the TV is on inflicting the ISIL exploits on said inhabitant during the news or even just the quick network ad for the headlines that are coming at either 6:00 PM or 11:00 PM. The people who adopt the dramas and horrors on the news as their own troubles are falling for the marketing efforts of the crisis news industry, and that's the long and short of it.

ISIL, Putin, predator drones, Ebola, and all that other daily hair-on-fire crap is no more a part of the average person's life than any of the other TV dramas that litter the dial. If you want relief, just look out your window and see just how boring it really is to be you.

Same corruption since the Roman empire. The power pyramid in one form or another where power and resource flow to the top and the bottom are as important to the top as ants. Who cares about the people on the ground when there is a gas-pipeline to be built or oil field that need to be controlled.

Saudi Arabia/US sponsoring civil war all over the world, Wahhabi organizations Al-Qaeda/ISIS turning up on the middle east where Saudi Arabia/US have interest in change. Send in the murderers to cause havoc with the innocent population so that you can implement the solution you want sponsoring both the problem and the solution.

The creator has a master plan, Peace and happiness for every man

Your right evil is rampant but in times like this we have to look at the positive.
And there is a balance of it.

They say evil gets to rise because good people don’t do enough to stop it.

That’s why people like yourself and all of us here and everywhere have to do what they can to confront it

And that’s slowly but surely happening

In the end all the scriptures, the Bible, the Quran and those of Buddhism and Hinduism say that the good will one day outstrip the evil so much so that the force behind evil will fade away into oblivion.

The truth will knock falsehoods brains out

Here and read these words by an old Jazz guy

The Creator Has A Master Plan

Go to 7: 30 of the video for the lyrics

There was a time, when peace was on the earth,
And joy and happiness did reign and each man knew his
Worth.
In my heart how I yearn for that spirit's return
And I cry, as time flies,
Om, Om.

There is a place where love forever shines
And rainbows are the shadows of a presence so divine
And the glow of that love lights the heavens above
And it's free, can't you see, come with me,

The creator has a master plan,
Peace and happiness for every man
The creator has a working plan,
Peace and happiness for every man
The creator makes but one demand,
Happiness through all the land

Pharoah Sanders

If we believe our souls are indestructible and this world an illusion then we shouldn't let dreams even this grand affect our happiness. Don't get engulfed by the darkness. Shine bright for others to see.

Well, according the gnostics we have 'unseen spiritual evil' aka the archons about and around influencing our decisions and desires. I personally believe, however, that every human shortcoming is due to fear in one way or another.

"To be able know and appreciate the highest ideals, you must as well be familiar with the lowest abyss." Without ultimate evil, how will you have knowledge of what is divine?

I see it as problems with the mechanisms of control, that seek to curb or inhibit primitive fears. A major primitive fear is the continuance of awareness after death, and it spawns much of the dogma that drives "spiritual evil". We can also take the primitive instinct for infanticide and apply it to the woman whom aborted her child, that came up with a justification (he was male) for her actions, from the perspective of social control programs....

Control that exists is complex, it has its controllers and also it's designers, there are for instance, control programs that allow people to obtain or unlock certain kinds of "knowledge", and yes, sometimes when the integration does not work or cannot correlate with the individual, they end up with a distortion, and many unwanted thoughts. The lady that aborted her son for being male, could have been, and likely was, conditioned by the following factors:

Abortion Debate
Genetic Engineering
Feminism

With the knowledge of abortion and the justification of it, was probably one of the drivers for her actions. The knowledge of the existence of genetic engineering and its powers for the future could also have been in the mix. Common arguments and propaganda about feminism and the gender debate also came into play.

Without this "knowledge" the simple primitive fear of childbirth was distorted so that the individual supposed that they had a "purpose" (justification) for their actions.

We are intelligent mature beings primarily, however, sometimes individuals cannot cope with their destructive instincts and as long as they have a means to support their behaviours (a justification), their primitive instincts will find a channel to translate into physical actions.

ISIS thinks the same thing about you!

Of course, most will never consider that fact. Most people consider their subjective morality to be the correct morality, in the same way that a recent survey showed most people think they are smarter than everyone else.

It's a laughable joke, really.

It's animal behavior, for a fact. It has nothing to do with 'spiritual evil'. The concepts of 'spirituality', and especially 'evil', are some horribly confused ideas, that are usually used by people who have no real idea what they're talking about, and have to grasp at imaginary straws to explain human behavior that they cannot comprehend any other way.

Again, look at psychopaths. More and more evidence it's a brain dysfunction/malformation, from people who are born that way, and the idea that they may serve an evolutionary purpose in our species is being given more consideration. Of course, when that sort of science doesn't align with wacky ideas about 'spirituality' and 'evil', people will balk and hold onto their superstitious flounderings with a death grip anyway, rather than to ever try and truly understand that nature doesn't reflect their flimsy ideas about morality and 'evil' one single iota.

For every reprehensible action you hear about in the news there are TONS more of good actions that go unreported. The media deals in disaster and calamity so naturally the world will look like a dark place if you watch a lot of the news.

YES YOU ARE CORRECT! This is a system of SLAVERY. You are not free, you just have the choice of 30 different kinds of bagels.

The ultimate question would be: How's does one break free from such a system of slavery?

There is objective morality that is above all ego subjective morality. Isis is a low level primitive morality making them only subjective predators who hunt their own kind.

In nature there is symbiosis also and when the symbiotic ones get tired of all predators in the end they remove the subjective predators from them and never allow the behavior to return.

If a being cannot be symbiotic and cannot control itself remove it form the environment of those who can until it can. If they want to be a predatory animal then lets treat them like the half insane predatory beings they are.

If there is no objective morality, the nothing is ever truly wrong and nothing is ever truly right. Thus, all things are permissible to you, even if you say that you would never do them personally. After all, so long as someone says they are right for him or her, how can you judge?

Thus you stand there with ISIS as they burned that pilot. After all, they felt it was right and just for them, and who are you to tell them otherwise. After all, you just got done saying there is no objective right or wrong only the subjective.

You are very much part of the problem the OP has with the world, but I'm sure this thinking helps you go to sleep and wake up in the morning. After all, everything is right so long as you say it is and no one else has the right to tell you otherwise.

You already know there's a Heaven, you just don't know it yet. Or do you? You do.

You already know where to look too, within, as always. You'll find your way, as will I, as always.

And yeah, there's great evil, and ISIS couldn't hold a candle to the real evils, but they also serve a purpose.

Sometimes it's important to take a break, especially for us conspiracy theorists, smell a flower or something. Which reminds me of this poem I've seen around here:

Walking on the roof of the world..
Gazing at flowers..
To which hell am I going

The objective reality for the plight of humans is to end suffering

Evil leads invariably to suffering

Buddha taught us that

Of course he’s not the only one hu taught us this.
