And still they were better off saying what you are saying. They didn't say it in a way 'Mass UFOs will land everywhere' but in a way that they have already found life somewhere and that they will make contact with it as if traveling to the destination. This is exactly how their words sound... lame.

I think the media is quiet about it because they don't really care.

Claiming that they're being hacked is an attempt to remedy that with faux intrigue... but considering the government itself is suffering from actual hacks, I doubt it will generate the desired interest.
