Headline caught my attention as the thought of a mirror universe with time running backwards is a contradiction.
If there time was running backward to ours.

How could we both be created at the same singularty big bang event .There universe would be ending as ours was begining an so on .Life forms in a universe running backward would start of dead come to life an get younger everyday .

This Is what I thought I would read .
But alas no its one of those faux headlines that suck you in.And upon examination bares no relation to the implied headline.
The arrow of time running backwards to us is a non event nothing to see,
As time acts just the same to them we would be the backward time an vice verca.

Still interesting but if events in both alleged universes is linear how is the arrow of time running opposite to ours.
Perhaps if there were two mirror universes created then the other consists of anti matter .
And anti time anti gravity.

Any way article www.dailymail.co.uk...

Energy does not come from an explosive source, in the the case that the source is able to multipuly itself squared infinity.

Energy needs a source, we are are to assume this event even happened. It goes against the physics that govern particles.

The big bang is literally impossible.

Such a theory does not allow the existance of black holes, only by one means.

This would have to be either the first or second universe. And everytime the universe randomly compresses itself into a ball bigger than our entire feild of view. It would get smaller and smaller until it does not Exist.

Because entropy drains energy permenantly.

Such a theory only prevokes the mind to Doom porn. Thinking of the worst scenario first.

It is unlikely that energy just randomly appears from nowhere. Where did the energy come from the first big bang? Since entropy would envitably devour it all? How can such a theory even be entertained seriously.

It does not explain where energy comes from, It mearly states the universe goes through massive explosions. Which is true, We would call these explosions Novas which eventually become galaxies.

However the scale of these explosions in space are over-dramatic.

It is like our affinity with Nukes. Nukes sure are scary except for the fact that it would require more nukes in stock at present to level the whole planet given that some of our most powerful nukes only destroy a couple kilometers. Not much of an acheivement when one landmass has nearly 4000 kms just strenching from longatude to latitude. X that by the 7000-8000 KMs needed to include the surface area from north to south and that is just one continent. In Theory you would need thousands and thousands of nukes just to nuke all of north america ALONE.

There is not even this many nukes in existance right now. So Many things are dramatically over-exadurated. The radiation would corrupt a lot of land yeah but huge portions of Earth would still remain untouched.

It would have to take like. 10s of thousands of Tsar missles to nuke the whole planet. It's just not viable. The scare tactics of such weapons of destruction are there. But the practicality just isn't.

These energy outputs are minicule compared to the energy needed to form the universe.

To even argue the point further. The universe would of had to of originally had several times more energy than what is currently present. It must in order to spread squared feet increasing surface area. The farther you go and the more energy you use the more entropy there is. So to get to the final destination there needs to a massively higher output of energy than what is being displayed. However in such a case of this theory this energy cannot be replaced because suposedly. We came from a big bang that created everything, So there is no method of this energy replenishing as creation only works when it goes full circle. You cannot have one without the other returning. Therefore when this universe compressed and re-expands it will be smaller than the next and so on and so on till it does not exist. Likewise, all other universes and existances would be doing the exact same thing as such a theory does not allow descrimination.

Nothing is exempt from the universe and existance when we exist within it, so such a creation myth as the big bang would undoubtly have to apply this logic as well to all other universes even if their physics differ slightly.

I think the existance of other universes is kinda rediculous but anyways lets play along with this theory shall we.

So even in a multiverse where the big bang would be the primary route of creation, Even the multi universes would shrink to nothing. Because there lacks a process that replenishes spent matter.

The problem with this theory is, it does not account for entropy. In fact, Entropy is the single knocking factor in the big bang. It is the chink in the theories armor. It's weakness and blatent fault.

And quantum physics has had to develop the multiverse theory just to try and justify such an theory and make it even seem remotely possible when it 100% is not.

This is very interesting meanining that the entire universe is headed back to the singularity of unity and oneness. Or thats all that ever has ever been is a singularity time is just an illusion.

Replay this out to get infinate universes with an infinate variety and all are still the singularity.

Meaning we are all one and every moment we may think is seperate that is actually the singularity.

Each moment becomes one with the singularity of the big bang.

Ha I love it!

So we are all in fact one!

So what do you think the answer is; if you have an opinion?

No sarcasm intended. I enjoyed the read - had never even heard this argument presented prior.

Also everything we do to others will be known to have been done to ourselves cool as we are all one and the same!

Reminds me of that Christmas song:

Big Bang is commin to ta town!

It knows when you are sleeping!

It knows when your awake!

It knows when youve been good or bad so be good for goodness sake!

The Big Bang is makin a list, its checking its twice, gonna find out whos naughty and nice the Big Bang is commin ta town!

You have to see this, the characters in the story end up in a universe where time is running backwards...

Hmmmmm I would call it the Benjamin Button Universe since like Benjamin Button the Mirror Universe goes backward in time.

It might also explain the theory of Time travel. When a person time travels he or she has to pass through the mirror universe before he or she could reach his or her intended time era.

Here is a quick breakdown: Our universe present day ----> Mirror Universe -----> Our universe in the past.

Wow that was just too funny!

To think of soldiers becoming one with thier targets in a singularity is just too classic and amazing. Dammit I shot myself! Boy was I ever deluded.

Or racists hating themsleves.

Or lovers loving themselves.

Even a breakaway civilazation running from themselves.

God must be laughing at us, because we look really stupid in our duality from a united perspective.

I thought of Red Dwarf as soon as I read the headline and there adventures in a backward universe.
One of the comments also mentioned Red Dwarfs backwards universe,
I wonder if this is were the theory originated?

I found this article that talks a bit about the big bounce, very interesting. In essence they believe our universe came from another identical universe. Meaning an identical universe to our own existed then a singularity happened then the universe became the Big Bang again. I would guess this just continues on forever for parallel universes as well, meaning the singularity is the substratum of all the universes in the multiverse and the destiny of every universe. Very interesting indeed:

The previous universe (or our universe “twin”) contracted to a single point (which could be interpreted as a “Big Crunch”) and then rebounded in a Big Bounce to produce the Big Bang as we’ve learned to accept as the birth of the universe as we know it. But until now, although the pre-bounce universe has been predicted, its characteristics could not be known.

We are not talking about an alternate dimension; we are talking about an identical universe with the same space-time and quantum characteristics as our own. If we look at our universe now (13.7 billion years post-bounce), it would be identical to the universe 13.7 billion years before the Big Bounce. The only difference being the direction of time would be opposite; the pre-bounce universe would be reversed.

Parampreet Singh
"The twin universe will have the same laws of physics and, in particular, the same notion of time as in ours. The laws of physics will not change because the evolution is always unitary, which is the nicest way a quantum system can evolve. In our analogy, it will look identical to its twin when seen from afar; one could not distinguish them.” –

If a mirror universe is created for any universe created does that change how we percieve duality?

Meaning if the many multitudes of possibility all eventually become oneness in the singularity, is it possible recognize that unity before it has occured in our current timeline?

Could this mean we are indeed quantum entangled with everything in all universes?

Found this interesting 10 minute talk about how the big bang could be considered an illusion.

If time reverses the big bang into the big brunch, then did any of it ever really happen?

If I turn back time and stop someone from getting shot, then did they really get shot?

If we turn back time and stop the universe from emerging, was the universe ever created?

Found this interesting vid on the BIG BANG time reversal its a good listen. Just think a universe where time is reversed sounds amazing!

From our perspective, time is always moving forward, but according to some theoretical research, it might be possible that the Big Bang also created a mirrored universe where time moves backwards relative to our own understanding.

Considering that time is reversed wouldnt that unmake everything ever made and undo every action ever played out including the creation itself?

Scientists have proposed that there is a universe parallel to our own in which time runs in reverse.

There is still much to understand about the concept of time, the every present chronological continuum which drives ourselves and the rest of the universe eternally forwards.

Now however scientists conducting a new experiment designed to better understand how the cosmos came in to being have proposed that when our own universe was created, so too was a corresponding mirror universe in which time runs backwards.

The idea was born from the concept that all the fundamental laws of physics work just as well if time is in reverse as they do forwards and that this is exactly what is happening in this mirror universe.
