Public smoking should be banned completely

Your cologne and deodorant probably stink as well as your opinion stinks to high hell. Should that be banned as well?

Funny here in the uk one of the biggest % of smokers are nurses abd healthcare workers.
Helps with the stress.
I got battered at work today three times today and that afterwards made meme not walk out.

People that want to ban something they don't like infuriates me.

Part of being an American is protecting the Freedoms that exist. Like it or not.

I find many smells repugnant including smoke.

I sure as hell don't want to ban what others enjoy.

I hate hunting...I will fight for your right to do it though.

TO OP: how about we whine about corporations filling our air with things much worse and in much higher amounts before we whine about smokers. Some of us got hooked at a very young age and struggle with quitting. I have personally tried over and over again, and many that I know have tried as well. (real attempts not half assed ones).

What is worse, sitting at a cafe and having to put up with a smoker? or sitting at a cafe and having to put up with a P.O.S talking on his/her mobile phone for all the world to hear?

Personally, the phone freak pisses me off more.

But, that's just me.

Whilst we are talking about cleaning up society and taking out the trash, I think all politicians, banking cartels, the CIA, FBI, DHS and the NSA should be banned completely too - no-one should be subjected to those foul smells and toxic fumes that are killing scores of humans on a daily basis.

I feel very bad you're hooked but it's you have every right to smoke if you want to. Everybody should enjoy freedom, even if it offends or disgusts others. And I feel bad for the OP because I don't like smoking cigs either but people light up in front of me all the time. If I can't get away I deal with it.

If we banned everything that offended people this would be an even worse planet.

Try this- ban mass producing them instead
Force people to roll their own- there's less garbage in those ones anyway, and lots of people would be able to quit if they weren't so damn easy to buy.

My and the wife were in Los Angeles and were at an outdoor tourist attraction and I needed a smoke so I went away from everybody else (as I try to be considerate) and was smoking. A lady walked by about 40' away and got a whiff of smoke and said something directed at me (couldn't hear what it was but the dirty look and the tone was unmistakable) and she physically dragged the little girl away.

I was thinking "REALLY??" You live in a place that sticks and can't even see the sky because of pollution every day of your lives and one small whiff of smoke and you act like the world is ending.

Some people live to criticize others and tell them what they shouldn't be doing.

This is still a mostly free country and I acknowledge their right to complain...and I have the right to think they are idiots.

As a smoker, I am choked by the expelled breath of non-smokers... heavy in toxic CO2 and noxious germs and lunch, non smokey breath should def be banned in public spaces... what people expel in their own homes is their business, though... I guess I'll allow that...

You only think that exposure to tobacco smoke gives you an "instant" headache. There could not possibly be enough chemicals in outdoor exposure to second hand smoke to cause you any harm. Studies repeatedly show that you have to be within a foot of a smoker's mouth before you can even measure the so-called "toxins"

But people have been brainwashed by public health officials that even the briefest of exposures to the part per quadrillion of tobacco smoke has adverse health effects. They have instilled FEAR into your head. When a person as susceptible to brainwashing and propaganda (like YOU) are afraid, you tend to hunch your shoulders and tighten your neck and clench your jaw, causing the so-called "instant" headache.

Well "my momma's" dead so I don't think a douche would help? Just like a douche would not probably help your situation either. Well maybe in your mouth? yea that could use a freshening up for sure.
