Cops swarm Chabad-Lubavitch synagogue, shoot knife-wielding man after student gets stabbed

WARNING: GRAPHIC CONTENT NYPD anti-terror officers swarmed Chabad-Lubavitch in Crown Heights after Israeli student Levi Rosenviat, 22, was stabbed during prayer early Tuesday. Police fatally shot 51-year-old Calvin Peters after a tense confrontation.

An Israeli student praying in a Brooklyn synagogue was stabbed in the neck early Tuesday after a knife-wielding maniac burst inside and yelled "I want to kill the Jew!"

My thoughts are with the family of, and the student. Not the nicest manner and place to get attacked.

A question for my US friends.....it says anti terror cops swarmed the synagogue and shot the attacker, do they mean SWAT, another agencies officers or just general cops? Just thought it was quick for specialist cops to be on scene unless they had intel?

You have to figure, This Is New York, a favorite terrorist target. I'm sure they have teams on duty 24/7, ready to respond to anything. Plus, in a city like that, there are cops everywhere.
