Police use CS gas on "free education group sit in"

I have just came across this article in the Mirror showing police brutality in the UK. There is no where near as much police brutality REPORTED in the media in the UK which is why its a surprise that its headline news on the Mirrors website. Apparently a peaceful sit in protest for free education was met with agression when police storm in to break it up using cs gas and threatening with use of a taser. Why was there a need for the way this was handled as it was something that would have died down as they were in small numbers.
I feel that we will se more of this in the future in the UK prompting people to stand up and fight back but by themselves. Which will result in prison time and more over reaching laws that give the police more powers than they do now.

Buuuuut....

IF there was an assault on staff as claimed (which it is claimed was severe enough to warrant calling the rozzers), the peaceful protesters would have been well advised to turn the knob who did it over the the police and reschedule their protest as someone had already ruined it.

Crowding some cops, shouting and getting all outraged aint gonna turn out well.

It isn't peaceful protest then either.
