Although you raise some good points I would also ask you to consider a couple things.

1. You chose to live where the regulations are strict.
2. You chose an upscale neighborhood full of 250k dollar houses to live in.

Move to a state with less population, cheaper property, cheaper houses and live off the grid if you want to.

I bought my original property here in Arizona for 95k and it has 2 houses on it so I have one to live in and another for a rental unit.
I have my own well so the water is free, my own septic system and if I choose I can run my house totally off solar or gen power and NOT be hooked up to the "grid".

I agree most places have far, far too many regulations but on the other hand you can chose where to live and how to live.

Also to the people complaining about poison, unhealthy food....

Grow your own and shoot your own meat.....You don't HAVE to buy processed food, you choose to.

Fluoride in the water? not my water. Just some trace minerals.

If you chose a life in a city and chose to eat supermarket food and drink city water.......that's your choice.
