October 31, Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum 11:52pm
Katherine heard the thumping of feet coming down the cold stone floor of the corridor in the women’s ward of the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum.
Halloween was freezing this year, What was the saying about women’s boobs and the cold she pondered?
“Something about cutting glass like diamonds?” She was surprised she hadn’t smashed all the windows in the ward from the freezing temps.
Tonight’s ghost hunt tour was full of Nouveau Vampires.
Apparently it was all the rage to drink psychic energy and not actual blood, she discovered from eavesdropping on their natter earlier. Funny how
people make things fit. She reflected further;
‘Don’t they know that Dracula was a Christian hero in Hungary and that Brahm Stoker never read the history properly, just thought the name Impaler
Dragul was evil sounding, and so a legend was born, that spurned countless ghastly tales of blood suckers, twinkling immortals, and good vampires with
souls.
And now they don’t even drink blood anymore?’ Sheeeesh.
Katherine tried to hide a smirk at her Gaggle of Vampires in the foyer during the pre tour drinks. One was a Walmart soft furnishings weekend
employee, another an accounts clerk from TJMaxx and IT call centre help desk supervisor, all with no skill at putting on damn makeup.
The gothic look seems to have been hijacked by these ‘psy vamps’ she thought.
At least Goths in the 80s and 90s kept it inside the dark lip liner. And the guys do their glitter all wrong!. It’s meant to follow the curve of
your eye socket framing your face, not used as a blush on your cheeks.
Black lipstick reflections were disturbed by two of them loudly and sloppily tongue kissing in the queue. Masses of big knotty mousey hair that looked
like the cartoon of the Tasmanian Devil in a Tornado spin. She was not sure which was the guy until he unlocked the enveloping of 78% of his female
paramours face to show he had a goatee.
She did a quick people count male to female and was relieved to see all male guests sporting this ghost hunting prerequisite facial hair feature. One
of the Vamps ( a leader from what she could tell by the two vampire sluts that were draped off his arms ) had his teeth sharpened cosmetically.
Oooohhh the irony she thought. No difference between you and Mindy Le Champ the blonde bimbo with the DD implants on the Real Housewives of Bleached
Blonde Beach.
Earlier that night Katherine shot gunned final corridor duty, which entailed her jumping out at the guests from behind a door to scare them sh*tless
and point them to the last corridor of the tour, Ward 1B that was once used as a lockdown for violent male patients.
She would have headed the tour but after a earlier incident involving Lestat, she didn't want to be around these guys too long so instead opted for
sentry "Booo" duty in the last corridor. The lead Vampire (‘LESTAT ’ she called him in her mind) looked at her and licked his lips, his tongue
caught on a sharpened tooth making him the wince and then that made the whole thing just awkward.
Her stomach had turned sufficiently that she happily put boring but sweet old Greg to lead them in his monotone voice that focused on history not
ghouls. She figured the swishing of the polyester cape he was wearing would disgust the undead tonight, and they would not come out even on All
Hallowed Eve.
‘The spirits feared being trapped under voluminous amounts of long black coats and capes, a bit like being trapped by a collapsed circus tent ‘
she imagined.
Katherine was snapped from her hobby of picking apart of other people when bored by the thumping of feet on cold stone floor. Ok this is good they are
moving through the tour a lot faster than she expected, they should only be up on level 3 now. She shrugged and figured a couple of the Vampers had
tried to slip the group to experience the psychic energy of the insane on their own. No doubt they think they will get a make-out session in a
isolation room but she was about to scare the life out of them. It would be kinda funny to see them pee their pants when they were meant to be all
like-tough-n’ embracing of darkness.
She inhaled and crouched back so she could get the right amount of spring into her leap. She was planning to execute her extra frightening ‘Loud BOO
by Springing Panther’ move reserved for special nights like Halloween.
They were 3 steps away.
Katherine leapt out from behind the patient art room door into the corridor with jazz hands a-shimmying
BOOOOOOOOOO !!!!!!!!!
No one was there.
The corridor was empty. There was no room with doors since 20 steps back for someone to have jumped into. All the ward doors on level one were
locked.
Booo? She whispered.

Transallegheny Lunatic Aysylum is super haunted. I’ve been there ☺
The hospital's main building is one of the largest hand-cut stone masonry buildings in the United States, and, is the second largest hand-cut
sandstone building in the World, with the only bigger one being The Kremlin. It was built pre civil war and was meant to house 250 people but by 1950
had nearly 3000 in there. What were they thinking!
The place is stunning and spooky.
Here is a wee video we took there. Nice peeling walls hey?
You can see lots of awful ghost tv shows that have filmed there.
In 2008, the ghost-hunting group TAPS was called to the hospital to conduct a paranormal investigation
On October 30, 2009, the Travel Channel aired a special seven-hour live broadcast of the reality TV show Ghost Adventures from the asylum.
In 2011, it was featured in a movie called "Episode 50".
In 2011, the Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum was featured in a show called "Forgotten Planet" [17] by 3net Studios for Discovery. The Asylum appears in
S1EP4, titled "Salton Sea/Weston". [18]
In 2014, the Transatlantic Paranormal Society [TAPS] team from Syfy's series 'Ghost Hunters' filmed their special 200th episode

Boo!! Ahhh, gave me goosebumps!
That place looks super creepy and super fun to explore, at night
The goths of today have nothing on the goths of the 80's and 90's! Loved the humor and the story, Zazz
