I thought this at first too, but I think they're looking at the originating point of the travel and traveler.

As to the title of the thread...sigh. Always the polarizing. Why couldn't it just say "Congress mobilizes..." or "Americans unite?" Freaking slanted media and faux journalism and their neverending agendas make me itch. And 27 is not even 5% either, is it? (I stink at math.)

It certainly won't stop all people but it will reduce the number. Let's face it if you knew you were exposed had a passport, money for a ticket and aspirin to reduce your fever , you best chance of survival would be to go to a Western country.

It takes time and significantly more money to get fake credentials. Your entry routes through Mexico would be reduce because those usually involve at least a few miles of walking- something someone with an active illness probably could not do.
