CPU going nuts with ATS pages

I'm on windows 7 and Firefox. When browing ATS my CPU rockets sky high on ATS pages. I can see this happening when I check Task Manager. Doesnt happen with any other site. Some pages are quiet for a few seconds then the CPU goes high again with Firefox.

Any thoughts thanks in advance.

Edit: I'm not really computer literate sorry.

There's two lines shown on the same graph in task manager. One is CPU frequency, and the other is CPU load. Frequency should be a blue line and load is a green if I remember correctly. If its frequency spikes to 100%, this is normal behavior and nothing to worry about. If it's loading 100%, it may be a problem.

Im win 7 and firefox,and even when loading multiple ATS threads in different tabs,I only get between 2-10% CPU usage and about the same RAM usage.

Im on an intel i-5,laptop,6gb DDR3 RAM.
Update firefox maybe.
Maybe you have a slow CPU/RAM?
If not-maybe malware or some other nasty problem..

This is a known issue within firefox.

if you go into Options, under Advanced, you'll see a check box with: Use hardware acceleration when available.

Turn that off.

You'll be fine.
