Jeremy Clarkson and Crew Chased out of Argentina by Angry Mob

Jeremy Clarkson + Argentina = recipe for disaster.
The top Gear crew were in Argentina filming a South America special but stirred controversy when it was noticed one of their cars number plates read H982 FKL , which was seen by some as a veiled reference to the 1982 Falklands war ..... knowing Clarkson it probably was.

It was reported their cars had been abandoned by the roadside and the crew were escorted to the airport, after being pelted with stones.
Clarkson flew into the country earlier last month to film a special which saw him and co-stars Richard Hammond and James May drive the famous Patagonian highway - Route 40 - to the southernmost city of Ushuaia. Reports in the South American press suggested the Top Gear crew had left the country amid angry protests from politicians and war veterans, and demands for their withdrawal from Argentina.

Top Gear for me stands as an example of what happens when a show has long past it's sell by date , at one time it was the best and funniest show on British TV but now and for at least the last three or four series it's turned into a rotting , putrid pile of main stream rubbish that needs to be thrown out or at least be renewed with a different format and new presenters.

I haven't heard about this one yet, I am a big fan of the BBC Top Gear, not so much the American version even though they show more of my sort of cars. I always thought those British guys were funnier. From the video I could only make out that beautiful red Lotus Esprit so I wonder what the other two cars were, and I hope the cars are ok. Please let the cars be ok.




Why do some of you members not like about Top Gear or Clarkson? I always thought he was being funny when making a lot of the comments he made not because he was serious. Some act as if he ran over their grandma and laughed about it.

Eh...what are you gonna do? To get people rightly outraged these days would be if Jem's been pulling a Savile.

and also he borders on comedy .dont like the jokes then dont tune in simple.

Could you expect anything less? this is a guy that dubbed America as "a country made up of 250 million wankers who don't know the meaning of the term 'wanker.'"

He's a loud, brash man who projects insults on others at a whim. I don't know how Hammond and May put up with him over all these years.

I don't know anyone that loves Clarkson, apart from my miserable uncle. A man you wouldn't want to spend 5 minutes with,who's going through a midlife crisis who loves his cars more than his own kids. a reply to: stuthealien

Well after that my mind hasn't been swayed in the least, stand up comedy is exactly that, comedy. Its not a stage to convey ones personal views if it isn't funny. Now if there were ordinary brits voicing their own opinion in their own words I might be swayed.

I`d still like to see some examples of him being a bigoted piece of scum, a bit insensitive from time to time as the license plate reveals and there was a few WW2 themed remarks made when they had a split show with German counter parts. I`m not trying to argue but to understand, I am a huge car guy and this show has always been one of my favorites, so when I see people attacking it I just want to know why. Besides him trash talking Corvettes.

I love Top Gear. Since I've only been watching a few years I've not yet been foundered upon it but perhaps if I'd been watching since they changed to this format I would.

I'll tell you if you want to appreciate Clarkson, May, and Hammond watch the American version. God it's horrible. They're completely unfunny but they just have a ball laughing at their own schtick.

Oh come on ... Jeremy Clarkson is the Man. He tells simply things as they are. If the emperor goes around naked, Jeremy will be the guy to start laughing first. He is the sanity in this insane world.

Like this case with the Arries. They are backward tail bent war losers who just simply cannot get it - and now with their actions - we all know that.
