Here is a laser system that creates a 3D plasma image by using a rapidly pulsed IR laser with a lot of power that creates a freestanding plasma image that can be tuned across a wide part of the EM spectrum.
It only looks funny in the video because the shutter speed is faster than the human eye. It is totally freestanding and requires only normal atmospheric air and the human eye or sensors on a weapon or even making a phantom aircraft as a decoy that would be able to move independently of the projecting aircraft.
Imagine what that would look like, to project any image you want and make it move as you want and be any size.

You do have a habit of making definitive statements about things that are (likely) unknowable. Maybe you simply know more than most... I dunno.
I understand the hesitancy and problems implied by the quick message from his account, but it could've been from our alleged space traveler who was in a hurry. .. or his imperfectly cooked clone... or an AI "A" construct with a bit of time to kill on Earthly social media, etc.
It would be lovely to have a couple hours to ask him more questions designed to test the likelihood of his story and if legit, then to learn the parameters of this "reality" we find ourselves in... or know it was all a clever falsehood and go back to the futility of general wonder.

No need for apologies. Heck, I take no offense when more personal and immediate slights occur in physical life! If I got rankled by internet arguments or perceived snubs, I'd have been dead decades ago.

What is the "color" black? Can you show me where true black is in nature, outside some crazy carbon nanotubes or similar?

If you had a super advanced 3D imaging system and a laser projector (or projectors[plural]) you could use the black of the night sky for your black and project your image in 3d space, I bet you it would look pretty convincing.

LOGISTICS is where this story falls apart. You might have a super smart computer, but a human can only absorb so much information effectively over a period of time, and if there is only one of them that mean only one person at a time could be on it or maybe on all its facets people could sit around.
And then that assumes even if this device has the ability to tell us how to create these devices, means we must have the ABILITY to do it.
If I went back to the dark ages and asked them for a very advanced alloy we make today and told them what they needed to do to make it, but that assumes a technological parity between the builders of the AI and US otherwise you would have to get so so many people involved just to decode the instructions it seems silly.
RADAR, radio and a nuclear signal were picked up, but those three things don't mean human could even with instructions build something so advanced.
It becomes a situation that spirals out of control to the point it would involve so many people learning a lifetimes experiences that would require decades and decades to spin up if made public, but even longer under the constraints of real black projects.
There is more to these craft than just the physical craft, but the systems they host.

Yeah... maybe... probably. I guess It's nice to think that someone with the tech to liberate the planet hasn't run off... yet.

Think logically on them leaving us behind,removing the feelings. Why bring people along who you have to take care of when you are smarter,faster,and live longer? People who will have alot of trouble adapting to stuff. Sure it sucks not getting chose for the team but i understand why.

I'd like to think that love and benevolence supersedes logic in such cases... knowing that reality might have a different take.

My problem is not being left behind or not picked. Because it is not about me. But if you ever saw a “handy capable” or homeless person enforcing rules on some other piece of throw away life then you know that individuals have purpose to their existence. And it is very arrogant to discount a life because “it ain’t as good as it should be/yours”.
By that standard most people that I interact with do not measure up. And I have no genocidal leaning on their lives.
So why me? So why have that attitude? Really, as just another feeder, I don’t think that I need money valuating my existence! I say “get rid of middle management”!

Because it's not by the virtue of your genes, but by circumstances. And if you go so far and achieve that by technology you per definition are no human anymore and would have to prove you're superior first.
And even if that'd turn out to be the case your first act as species would be to wipe out a species that made you possible. I don't know what you strive for but I have different dreams than being apex predator.
A lot of humans prefer harmony. So maybe you suffered from a parasite and are just a phase in it's always progressing stage turning the universe into a vacuum with electricity...
I got maybe a little carried away with that but: if you want to improve the human race it's about respecting human nature and enabling the next generation to build on that.
What would happen in such a tiny community is that they'd eat eachother because of a need to dominate otherwise they wouldn't be in this club that secures its position by arbitrarily declaring others disposable.
And there in lies the rub. they arent regular humans anymore. they prolly are different enough to be called a seperate race now and unable to breed with normal humans. They wont wipe us out,because why waste their time when we will do it ourselves.

My problem is not being left behind or not picked. Because it is not about me. But if you ever saw a “handy capable” or homeless person enforcing rules on some other piece of throw away life then you know that individuals have purpose to their existence. And it is very arrogant to discount a life because “it ain’t as good as it should be/yours”.
By that standard most people that I interact with do not measure up. And I have no genocidal leaning on their lives.
So why me? So why have that attitude? Really, as just another feeder, I don’t think that I need money valuating my existence! I say “get rid of middle management”!
I believe that we do this as a species. Or not at all.
But who am I to say??
My purpose in life is to live to the best of my ability,and treat everyone as i would treat myself. Regardless of what the RK's decide.
