My only comments are;
Nobody has ever suggested that the people who killed Jesus thought of the act as a sacrifice.
For the New Testament, it is more of a self-offering.
I won't go into the subject in more detail, because that is for a different thread on a later occasion.
This one is about the concept of "shared meals".

Actually since Jesus Christ is literally the most important sacrifice as far as Christianity goes, and the last supper one of the most commemorated events in the church, I would say it's very much on topic.

As I tried to explain to others of your number, the topic of an ATS thread is defined by the title and the content of the opening post.
Not by the whims of any casual passer-by.
Nechash saw the point in the end, you can learn from his example.
You want to talk on any other topic, drop in on any other thread where I have defined that as the topic.

The only one I've currently got on the Last Supper is this one;
1 Corinthians; The fellowship and the Supper
There is not yet anything on Jesus as a sacrifice.

The other weekend my father, brothers, and I went to a place called The Shack. They ordered hamburgers but I ordered a Classic Reuben. To my dismay I forgot to ask for no sauerkraut and it ruined the sandwich for me. It was an all around good time. My father sacrificed his money for a shared meal with his sons.

But was there any sense in which you tried to share the meal with the God who ultimately provided the food?
That's what the Israelites were doing.

IF one looks back to the original "sacrifice"... this god wanted blood and was only pleased by it...

Cain offered the fruit of his labour... but Abel offered one of his animals

Before it was about a meal, it was about the blood of the innocent...

Sacrifice is a complex topic, and this thread is deliberately focussed upon one aspect of it.
The "shared meal".
