It depends on what is on your own heart as it concerns all of things you value about life. I wouldn't wish to try to get God to talk to me by jumping out of a plane though. It would be better to just speak to him first every day and tell him everything you want to say or ask. It doesn't mean you will always get to hear a real voice, but sometimes IT HAPPENS!

Don't make it a requirement that you must hear his voice before you will seek him further. When you show you will seek him no matter what happens is when you would have a better chance. Being humble before him in thought and mind, and in prayer is what gets noticed, and I'm serious. Those are the virtues he wants to see in people. Just think about that.

I have heard him speak to me and that took 35 years of silence before I heard him. But I knew he was always listening to me, and that was good enough for me. When I Did hear his voice, it wasn't because I asked to hear it, it came as a surprise. You just never know, and it didn't even need to happen for me to still trust that he cared about me.

I didn't then, nor do I now deserve to have had this happen to me, and I am always thinking about this. To have something amazing like that happen and still be a sinner is a difficult pill to swallow.

The road is a real long journey and it isn't easy to travel on. But I learned he has always been there with me and picking me back up when I fall even though I do not deserve it.

There is also another voice which you might hear a lot sooner, and that is the evil one's voice trying to convince you that none of the above is going to help you. It is a total lie.

There's been a few cases of people surviving sliding down the side of a snow-covered mountain.....and perhaps a few others.

Az crazy as it sounds, there are cases where people survived jumps like this. I can remember at least three, while the woman falling into the rainforest after her plane broke apart by a bomb is probably the most famous. Then there is a case of a german parachutist, again a woman, who just had several broken bones after falling from more than 15000ft. So I guess if you're supposed to die, you will be able to "talk to god" anyway. And I guess most people would die from an heart-attack before you even hit the ground.

But seriously, 40.000ft is a lot of time - If possible I would try making some kind of parachute from the clothes I am wearing, if that dragon from "How to train your Dragon" is not around ^^

Whilst falling from 40,000 feet into anything, I will certify you death is 40,000 feet away. So in this case, death is not just a thought but a quickly approaching fact.

God will always be faithful to his Children. God will be Faithful to everyone else who comes to Him sincerely. At certain death most people go to God with sincerity.
