To me it seems like a cult-leader inventing a conspiracy as a form of damage control.
There was probably some form of bribery going on to add extra storeys to the building without proper inspections, which may bring criminal charges and
prove the cult negligent of safety issues.
Apparently the Synagogue, Church of All Nations (SCOAN) has manipulated footage before to stage healings, and non-cult rescue teams claimed they were
kept away from the site.
Even the South Africa humanitarian organization Gift of the Givers, who have specialized equipment to locate people under rubble, were allegedly
threatened.
The only conspiracy I see is of a cult leader called TB Joshua, who was allowed to amass an enormous fortune while claiming to cure HIV and TB (which
led to many deaths, possibly thousands) and abusing people.
It's high time justice caught up with this fraud, no matter how many gullible, influential people he impressed.
I'm still looking at some YouTube material which exposed his operations, and I'm shocked.
I knew he was a fake healer, since Special Assignment exposed him a few years back on SA television, but the testimonies of former members puts him in
the same class of sociopathic cult-leaders as Jim Jones.
Former members of his staff reported sexual abuse, mind control, sleep deprivation, beatings, threats, humiliation, bribery and staged miracles.
The clip on YouTube "TB Joshua's Secrets Revealed" is shocking.
I don't think anything that comes from this man or his organization (or mind-controlled devotees) is to be believed.
There are many fake healers, but at worst they simply take money and gifts from people.
However, what goes on in SCOAN's inner circle is seriously dangerous, yet he had a loyal following in South Africa, and unlike similar black pastors
he also appealed to some whites (although he increasingly disappeared from the white Christian media, like "Joy" magazine, possibly because some of
his practices became too alien for the Christian right, although they also didn't split their readership by specifically exposing him, at least
according to my knowledge).
A lot of Christian media supported him at some time or other.
This is the same media that wants to preach how wider society should be run - yikes!
Many thought he was just another reborn Christian pastor, and weren't informed of anything negative at all.
About two weeks ago a friend of mine's mother wanted to go to Nigeria on a pilgrimage to SCOAN, and I mentioned that this guy was a fraud (which
didn't go down too well).
I really hope she didn't go yet (I didn't want to ask immediately).
I suppose that if people insist on following thugs just because they claim to be "Christian" one cannot stop them.
The people who believe this sort of thing are probably believing the whole "mysterious airplane" conspiracy nonsense, and in their alternate universe
the "Prophet" will always be the good and persecuted guy, no matter that he never gave a darn about the well-being of his followers.
Even the media is often still giving him the benefit of the doubt (even some local politicians were impressed by his shenanigans), and only mention
short references to his questionable past performances.
There's a serious lack of critical thinking skills in South Africa and beyond, and unfortunately TB Joshua and people like him will continue to
flourish and harm people.
PS. There's a lot of material online to wade through and constant updates on the scope of the tragedy.

Gift of the Givers rescue workers chased from site (suggesting to me that there's a wider local cover-up and conspiracy to protect corrupt officials
in Nigeria, the "Prophet" and his pilgrimage industry):

TB Joshua's Secrets Exposed (interestingly much of the critique came from other Christians, and atheist critics have ignored this cult for too long in
favor of exposing general techniques used by faith healers to con people. It's high time Africa had its own rationalist organizations to prioritize
the wort cases of abuse):

I'll stop here before the post become too long, but there's clearly a conspiracy involved, and this case affects many South African communities. It's
much wider than the plane and the cult's claims. TB Joshua also has international churches and followers.
Thanks to the OP for making a thread on this, because there's something conspiratorial going on in how the entire rescue operation was dealt with.
In this case it probably doesn't involve Boko Haram, even if powerful forces may try to twist it that way.
If they were involved it will have to be painstakingly proven.
Even if no plane was involved it certainly has the same ramifications to us as a plane crash or natural disaster in the West.
It's an interesting case of how conspiracy theory can be used by people who are running their own in-group conspiracies.
