That was just an example but what "commie" mob do you really think is going to take anything over? I apparently have much more faith in my fellow Americans than you do.

I was a U.S army infantry soldier. We would never occupy a U.S city the national guard yes. In Iraq things were thrown at us at times which usually resulted with a gun in someone's face,we were in a war zone AMD these types of risk have to be evaluated.sometimes we got it right ad other times not so much. The national guard im sure is trained for disasters, we dont however have a force ment to or trained to take over American city's and the unique circumstances even trying to fight the American people. This idea is unimaginable to me

Lol, #ting on things, raping and yelling about commies..obvious troll is obvious.

That being said this does have an ominous overtone especially with talking about occupying our own cities. However the biggest thing I took from the report is the army has no idea how to deal with huge cities and is a bit frightened by that. Who can blame them? What if Furgeson had happened in NYC? Or Chicago's infamous south side? They are used to dealing with tiny crappy little cities, not a huge megalopolis with a population bigger than the last country they tried to run over. I am defiantly not happy to see this kind of thing, but at the same time can kind of see their point of view. Basically we are all just waiting for the world to catch on fire, and hoping like hell we are wrong...

Hello again everyone, I'm glad this topic received some attention.

This was not meant as 'doom porn', 'commie BS' or anything else for that matter, it was simply awareness.
As of now our American government has made some decisions on our behalf as to how we should live, be free and be protected. Rights we used to have and take for granted such as TSA, phone/web monitoring, drones over US soil and freedom to protest peacefully have been slowly stripped away in the name of Our Safety and Our Protection. As of yet many of these conspiracy related, frightening globalist ideas have not come to full fruition, but the signs are all there.
Watching what they are doing, as best we can through reports such as these, gives us all a brief glimpse into this rather secret world of theirs. We cannot rely on the media, we cannot rely on our politicians and most certainly, as has been proven before, we cannot rely on our government. With no transparency we can only make assumptions, some of them will be wrong, but only the ignorant deny or reject any and all such information. Those in search of answers will consume it, digest it and ultimately assimilate it. That is why we are here at this site, that is why we come back and that is why no one topic completes the full picture, threads are only pieces.
So look at this topic however you want, then comment how you feel. It makes no difference to me anymore, my mind has already been made up by what I have witnessed over the past two decades. And that does not mean, I'm not still willing to listen, to any or all you have to say.

Good, who wants them filthy Occupiers or whatever comes after them taking over cities and lowering quality of life for all by disrupting key infrastructure and distribution of essentials in their quest to fulfill their dear communist manifesto.
They plan for all eventualities whatever the times suggest, it is their duty.

Oh god, Fox News is that you?

You know, the Occupy movement was one of the ONLY recent mass movements to protest the corruption in our government and military-industrial complex. But it seems you have Stockholm Syndrome, loving up those corporate and elite overlords, just hoping that you can bask in their reflected glory. Die stupid hippies die! How dare you question ultra-rich people ruling our country!!

Ain't that the truth!(total sarcasm by me)

I grew up in NY so I feel the need to reply. I have family in the city. I knew this day would come and nobody wanted to listen.

I never lived in that # hole city, but I used to go there to party every weekend. I would not want to be anywhere near there if # gets real.

There is no way to take over NYC, brah. I find humor in the suggestion. Kurt Russell Snake Pliskin . give me a break Every Day New York grows into its own separate state of mind. And perhaps that where the problem lies. They cant control NYC. Even if you control all the entrance points, you will never hold us down. At least some get this. NYC is the jewel of the free market. Leave it alone

I don't know if anyone has ever told you this before but the way you write is poetic!

I never enjoyed reading a post on here so much.
Have you noticed how your sentences read so fluid, and there was so many excellent choices of words!

Really, this comment is totally out on a wimb and completely off topic. But this just came over me haha!

Many love.

If you go to the pdf it states anything over 10 million people qualifies as a 'mega-city'.

The case study they did included field work in Dhaka, Bangladesh; Lagos, Nigeria; New York City, NY; Bangkok, Thailand; and Mexico City, Mexico. A virtual case study was completed on Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo, Brazil. I'm not sure as to why they chose those, whether strategic locations or not, but either way it's good that they used an American location opposed to a Russian or Chinese one! (sarc)

yeh I read the PDF there and checked the case studies , phewwww
Scotland is off the cards then we only have 5.3 million in our country,
England might not fair so well , London maybe though it has a larger population!

It doesn't mean your off the list, just that they already have vast experience in dealing with cities that size.
Mega-cities are relatively new so there was no precedent for military operations, one needed to be drafted up. This is the initial assessment stage that dictates what assets will be utilized if it ever comes to that.

Sorry, your not on the list because you've already been put on the previous ones for smaller locations.

The some american citizens are in for a sudden and harsh surprise if they do not start to think before the next elections.

Do not cross the Rubicon (river)... a law that kept legions from entering Rome.. That law didn't mean much when army decided it was necessary for a 'better' life for all. Depending on who side you are on of course.. The one who controls the army has the power, much didn't change in all these centuries I guess..
