Darkness (Poem)

Darkness falls on the Sunlit room
Taking away the light,
and filling it with gloom.

Not the whole room it seems
but just around Me,
why does the Darkness loom?

The crowd of people quiet down
when I enter the room
seems I make the flowers wilt,
instead of helping them bloom.

Darkness and despair
follow me wherever I go
I wish for the days
to see the Sunlight flow.

Alas, gone are the
Sunny days of lore.
I fill my life
with Darkness once more......

Ummm.....NO! Actually you fill a lot people's days with sunshine Syx!

You might feel the darkness inside, but you always shine bright for your friends/family...at least from what I've seen!

at least that's what they say...

The light may dim for a small time,
but never goes away...

It's in the smile, the grin, the wink,
it's in the words you write...

It's in your heart, you know it's there,
so don't give up the fight!

To take the far more typical "days of yore" phrase and give the concept an different layer of meaning just by changing a single letter: it's those seemingly little details that make the difference.

yes i've been researching OBEs and astral projection. the whole field is fascinating. lucid dreams are also an interest of mine. the whole 'astral' plane.

poetry is a gret way to express things. i favour the 'rhythmic' wordplay and the rhyme myself but all forms are equally valid. poetry may be a dying art.
