This thing is cool, but very creepy at the same time. This thing really is for sale...

They make him out to be a member of the family.
He takes family videos and photos, keeps you company, helps with entertaining the kids, tells you when you have an incoming message and plays it for you, and can even order takeout food for you.

I suppose not too far down the road, we can expect a fully walking and physically functioning robot that does the same and even more.

It's just a computer, nothing to be afraid of...

hope not fear is what we need, indeed!

A rich families toy.

Everybody else will get the tablet, if they're lucky. And luckier still, they may own a desktop, but it's looking more and more likely the gamers will turn to consoles and the students will turn to accessories.

Desktops may soon be history, except maybe in business, possibly. Everything is miniaturizing and people can do a lot of things on touch tablets now. I can imagine a time when you can buy a keyboard accessory (a mouse if you want) and hte display will be projected rather than shown on a screen. For most things the processing power will be fine.

Desktops are too immobile. Big power hungry machines.

This costs $499, affordable by the middle class.
