Here is the father of the four dead boys.

Just to be accurate, he is the father of 1 of the boys, not all 4. According to a comment in there they were all cousins. I hadn't read anywhere that they were all brothers so that took me off guard.

Well, I trusted this (anonymous) source on the internet, shame on me.. Nevertheless, I can feel his sorrow!

No it's not like that, I was just stating what appears to be factual. Not trying to shame you for posting it or anything like that. I was just confused about them being all brothers because I hadn't heard that, and then read otherwise and wanted to clarify unless anyone else was confused.

They got him from Al Jazeera in 2011
His mother is a Palestinian

Perhaps the reporter is the one with a bias and not the Network. Both questions should be asked.

There are some reporters and anchors who are Israeli or jewish. Should they be banned from speaking on the genocide in Israel?

Maybe he should have reported it through his employer instead of taking it to twitter.

He knew it would get covered up by the Israeli apologists and Zionist supporters.

I have to laugh, people here on ats go on about RT or press tv as being biased and unreliable, then things like this happen to show the bias in western media, all you hear is crickets. Thanks for the post Swills

sorry buddy, but I heard no bias in any of the major media...they reported that Israel is the one that killed them. they reported on 4 kids killed and 8 wounded......I don't know what "bias" you are talking about.

Hello again Jimmy, are you following me? I was talking about western media in general, the guy reported on what happened and got canned for doing so. If you don't think western media is biased in their reporting you are either a) willfully ignorant or b) you really haven't a clue what is going on. Hope you will at least reply to me this time

No they pay him to report news through them, not give it away for free on twitter. Bonehead move by him, maybe he can be a free twitter reporter now but who's going to pay for his flights and room n board to all the hot spots.

They lob rockets to get the worlds attention becaue otherwise they would be forgotten in their oppression and open air prisons while Israel abuses their rights and steals their land.

Im curious if Mexicans were lobbing rockets into populated areas in Texas over a land dispute there, would you take their side as well?

So Palestine stops lobbing rockets and they say sorry, and it'll never happen again. And assuming it never happens again, what happens to them? They are allowed to live peacefully among the Israeli's? HA!....YEAH, RIGHT.

"I'll believe that when me $#!* turns purple and smells like rainbow sherbet" - Captain O' Hagan

Seems to me Israel hasn't really thought this "ground war" through...let alone learned how to live peacefully with thy neighbors.

Yes, the same can be said about the Palestinians...who have no F-16`s, tanks or body armor. Just REALLY REALLY REALLY effective rockets.

I'm impartial to the conflict your analogy makes no sense at all. I previously said both sides will not make any gains in the methods they are using.

The points about Hamas not being related to the kidnappings are also semantics by the way.

www.al-monitor.com...#

Though the clan is known for identifying with Hamas, it also has a well-earned reputation as troublemakers. Not only does it tend to ignore the movement’s leaders. It even acts counter to the policies being advocated by the movement.

That is why officials in the Palestinian Authority (PA) were shocked by the timing of the three boys’ abduction, just two weeks after the establishment of a Palestinian unity government. After all, the very creation of this new coalition came with the assumption that the Hamas leadership had come to terms with reality and moderated their positions.

Enter the Qawasmeh clan. The total number of people belonging to the clan is estimated at about 10,000, making it one of the three largest clans in the Mount Hebron region. At least 15 members of the family were killed during the second intifada, nine of them while committing suicide attacks against Israel. All of the terrorists lived in the Abu Qatila neighborhood, within a radius of less than 1 kilometer (0.6 mile) from one another. Whenever the head of the terrorist organization within the clan was assassinated or arrested by Israel, one of his brothers or cousins was selected to replace him.

Marwan Qawasmeh, the man behind the abduction, emerged as a dominant figure in the clan after Israel arrested Imad Qawasmeh and sentenced him to life in prison.

Each time Hamas had reached an understanding with Israel about a cease-fire or tahadiyeh (period of calm), at least one member of the family has been responsible for planning or initiating a suicide attack, and any understandings with Israel, achieved after considerable effort, were suddenly laid waste. If there is a single family throughout the PA territories whose actions can be blamed for Israel’s assassination of the political leadership of Hamas, it is the Qawasmeh family of Hebron.

If the government can't keep it's militants in line then it has no place being the authoritative figure. Unless Hamas went on a tear trying to eradicate and punish the Qawasmeh clan, you can be sure they enjoy their carnage when it suits them and cringe and denounce when it goes against their policy.

Perhaps moving away from these kinds of people and making an effort at a new kind of approach might help.

Main stream news is like one rigged game anymore. There are kings, queens, pawns...the reporter got replaced because of his reporting what he was witnessing?

Who mostly controls media of today? Is unbiased and fair reporting even possible?

Reporters have mentioned that Israel gave warnings before some of their actions? Palestinians to evacuate...how and where. A geriatric hospital took a "hit" right away. How are patients over 60, on respirators and feeding tubes and some in comas supposed to evacuate? How could personnel do enough quick enough relevant to trying to accomplish that? Those old folks in there...what a threat they must be. Those kids on the beach playing...what a threat. Those kinds of warnings are for show and mean nothing.

Folks say what if Mexico was lobbing weapons at us...well, they don't have to, they are lobbing themselves at us. Many want the southern border lands of the USA. Not all immigrants are from Mexico...that's the scary part....they could be from anywhere. I wonder how accurate reporting is relevant to our own border mess too.

Reporting anymore is a toss up. It is hard to always get the entire true story and even harder when like in this case, a guy reporting gets his reporting squelched.

Its funny how the media is constantly trying to spread one story above all:

Israel vs Hamas

That statement is a contradiction in itself. There is no "Equal Opposing Force", there is no force for that matter that would be considered an enemy attacking Israel.

There are however pockets of resistance and fractured elect groups and people (like Hamas) who are attacking with what little they have and resisting an occupying and now invading force.

And Israel is an invading force right now, heavily armed to the teeth from that $3.1 billion dollars of US aid (that's right the US money that is NOT being used to rebuild Detroit but cut the water off).

So when Israel (the Zionist Military machine) goes public with the words "But they attacked us" its rather hard to swallow, especially after knowing that the bombing of the 4 Palestinian kids and the subsequent 3 Palestinian kids post so called cease fire makes up only 1% of the atrocities committed daily by apartheid regime.

There is a march later here in London and I intend to be there if I am able to to protest what is an unjust war and occupation.

If there was a sizeable opposing force, if Palestine was making a genuine threat to Israel I am sure the world would stand up for the oppressed, even if it was Israel but the truth of the matter is Israel (the political Zionist arm) is a paranoid state.

God help both sides because it's always the innocent that get hurt, just much more so on the Palestinian side (what's left of it).

Of course there is.

www.deadline.com...

More on that one.

There's a long list beyond those ones too.

There are investigative journalists with no loyalty to the establishment, and while some of them get decent cred in off stream magazines like Rolling Stone, etc. More of them find their place on independent blogs now that it's possible with the shaping of the internet.

Or they jump into documentary films and book releases like Jeremy Scahil. (Who then paired up with Glen Greenwald on their new project, The Intercept.)

The biggest problem with getting to the truth is the flocks of one track thinking automatons who want a "good guy vs. bad guy", black and white, "let me drop it in your lap to understand" media dissemination.

You all want to either say, "The West is run by NWO Illuminati who want to eat our baby's brains" or "Russia is a commie pinko state trying to convert the world to socialism" but no one wants to instead just absorb good information when it comes and appreciate good news, applauding the people willing to get it, without having to tattoo your loyalties on your forehead otherwise being lost deer in the woods.

Sometimes the good guys are the bad guys and vice versa, tis the nature of the world we live in.
