Weird California sighting

Very lucky indeed. I'd keep eyes peeled.

interesting sighting.. It brings up some interesting questions. Like what sort of propulsion would have a green light to it. Some weird sort of exotic jet fuel? Some sort of ionization that glows green? Charged particles being kicked down stream of the exhaust? Sound pretty cool whatever it is.

Could the plasma that allows the craft to zip through the air with no friction be producing the green light? this is similiar to aurora plasma i think. the air particles getting charged and being agitated as the craft travels along.

Kind of a digression for sure but this topic is interesting enough. Zaph, do any of your contacts in the industry frequent ATS or would they otherwise be interesting in such a "fringe" website? After all, this thread and a few others do offer what could be a peek behind the curtain..

I respect your answer and i do understand your concern, not that it would have any practical impact either way. After all, this is ATS and too good to be true usually stays that way even tho it might be the truth after all..

Are you serious? Zaphod says 'yes', within a thirty minute to an hour time frame windows / doors get removed from hinges by Police and other agencies.
If Zaphod says no, 'I scry with my psychic eye'.... doors stay on and windows remain whole.

Dude. how did you get over two million stars with 400post? You should know when to not ask certain questions and or let it drop when someone refuses to answer something. you are aware we are monitored on ATS correct? Do you want everyone in this thread VISITED and INTERROGATED? Its no joke if Zaphod isnt answering you with a yes or no.

Anyway the sighting has made for a great thread and has opened my eyes to certain issues.

Dude. how did you get over two million stars with 400post? Regarding the stars, i believe it´s a bug within the board software. Quite a few board members got it. I do not pay attention to stars or any other statistics.

Regarding the other topic, i asked a straight forward question and zaph answered accordingly and then i dropped the issue. Is there a list of "don´t ask" question on ATS? If so, please let me know because the last thing i want to do is to step on any toes or bring anyone into trouble. Seriously!

The only real don't ask question is "where did you get your information".

so uh about that green "light." some weird plasma sheath trailing behind the aircraft? Something funky they put in the fuel? A totally new form of propulsion? Any speculations.

Also, does it have a switch you can hit that turns the trail from green to red white and blue with sparklers falling? that would be cool.

Guess i should be more specific in the sense that there is a difference in sharing information and reading information :-) Anyway, lets drop it and continue with the interesting information that can be shared without anyone getting into trouble. I assume we all share a passion for everything flying in the sky..

But.

Moving onwards - a pattern has been set, we now know there IS a high flying fast aircraft out there in testing at Groom lake and surrounding areas.

That's a MAJOR high five for Zaphod and his eye witness. Nice find, great to see it bear fruit.

I'd say there may be two. I've seen other reports of people seeing a fast moving yellow light, going horizon to horizon.

That'd be some thing far faster and I'd hazard a guess, creating a lot of heat. I'd also hazard a guess that this craft has a unique ceramic sensor window that allows it to communicate through the layer created by a re-entry like environment.

Just a guess.

oh i as referring to the thread joki had referred to where he said that the thing streaked like a meteor and left a green trail behind it and then continued on like normal.

Also, what ever he's describing, they've been experimenting with it and flying it or something that uses a similar technology at very high altitudes over Los Angeles county since at least 2000. I saw it and posted about it in a ATS thread here about UFO's that look like fast moving stars several years ago. I could try and look it up and find it somewhere. But people like phage jumped on and said everybody is seeing satellites that everybody is mistaken (stupid). Some of us posted that you could watch the "star" go from near the horizon, very high up, then either disappear and then reappear right over head with a streak or change direction suddenly. Things a satellite couldn't do.

Anyways the ones I saw were on a few occasions, again around the same time of night and seemingly on a schedule. It was summer. I was sitting in the jacuzzi of my parents home looking up at the sky when I first noticed a dim star traveling inland from the sea at what i thought to be pretty fast. It then winked out and appeared directly overhead and streaked, much like a meteor, a short distance 90 degrees the direction it was traveling. And went on in a southernly route over the horizon. The second time it was going the same direction but as it was almost over the horizon it started to slalom gently and at the apex of each it cast off a very feint shower of same colored bluish somethings. it was very feint and I wondered if it was a trick of the eye, and if the slaloming was just eye fatigue. But whatever it was there was something very similar to the guys sighting flying around in the early 2000's over southern california.

I think the fly the stuff over los angeles because it's a easy navigation beacon. Especially if you can't "communicate" as freely as one would like and have to eyeball it using landmarks. If you're traveling really fast it might be a helpful beacon to signal a course change. And finally I think they fly it over the city because city lights make it unconducive to viewing the night sky, along with the fact nobody except me and a few others look up in a city.

Whatever this thing uses for propulsion it would appear that we've been working on it for a long time and that it's finally almost ready to go out and kick some ass.

I may even be able to scry a little further into the mists.... and say 'trans-atmospheric' ... 'skipping across the edge of the atmosphere, in...then out..back in...'
