My friend posted this on her FB. It's from their summer Church camp program.

Maybe I've spent too much time on ATS but I find this to be a tad disturbing. Yea it's cute at first but when you think of it in terms of brainwashing basically then well not so cute.

Why would this be considered cute at a kids camp for daily entrance?
To get them conditioned to be use to security checks?

I mean that is the only thing i see when I see this. I don't see it as cute. Everyone who was commenting thought it was adorable.

Anyone else find this a tad disturbing considering how society is becoming in terms of actual security check points. It's like they want to make it the norm and say "hey don't fear the security check it's ok." IDK I just think it's weird.

Get used to this, I see these security features being incorporated in all public buildings in the future. They now use these in libraries to check for people stealing books, it wouldn't take much to modify them for detecting of other things.

Teach your kid to walk through it wrongly, just for the sake of sticking it to the man.

Interesting catch. Something for me to think about.

You're not the only one. Nor I am the only one to use the phrase "you're not the only one".

I only wish I were.

Remind me to make sure I'm in front of you on line. That way I don't get held up while your sticking it to the man. SHEESH. Most people encourage their children to grow up and be adults.

Since you all are hell bent on having the right to carry guns every freaking place you go these have now become a necessity. Yeah get used to it.

This was cute back in the day too

It was about as useful as checkpoints but it gave children the same false sense of security.

Um...is that like a screening station? They have screening stations at a bible camp? Like they're afraid of people bringing weapons to church?

i raise my sons to be somewhat irascible. Being an adult doesn't mean cowing, bending over, or laying down. It means interacting with the world in a way that is equitable for all parties involved.

"Grope and rope" is only equitable for the folks receiving a paycheck.

Blatant conditioning.

The parents should have ripped it out!

Utterly disgusting.

Well considering the source of the pic they are blind to the world outside of their little bubble. The stuff she posts amazes me at how naive she is to many things. She's not a bad person by any means but she really doesn't know how the world truly is.

I don't know what your problem is but this is BTS keep your ATS gun crap on the other side thanks.

This is also a MADE UP FAKE security point at a Church summer camp. It's NOT real.

Wellll if this is the Christian bible camp I'm thinking it is, the theme for this year is aviation. So...it kinda makes sense when you think about it.

Good point.

The oldest didn't take to the rascality so well. The youngest...i have apparently shared this pea pod with him and not even known until recently.
