There was a cute stuffed lamb in those pics. I guess you all did have a good time if you can't remember it. LOL
Seriously, who owns the lamb????

If you look back to the pics from their 'arrival'...you will see our Miss Tsu with the lamb, lol. (I shall have to stop calling her 'kitten', and call her 'lamby' now)

The adjustment to the logo on the t-shirts is brilliant, but I expect no less from Gordi!

I was SO happy to get text messages from you guys...I don't mean to sound all sentimental, haha....but I still have them saved to my phone, so I can see them again.

I'm thoroughly enjoying this, just want to hear more!

I'm surprised nobody's noticed the wee 'adaptation' to ATS on the Tee's and passed any comment.....

Um...maybe some of us did notice it but kept our hands off the keyboards for fear of getting Gordi in trouble. Uh? Uh? Did ya ever think of that little lady? Go to bed now and no rum for you.

I'll have you know, not a drop of rum passed my lips after Friday night, and even then I only consumed 3 wee drams.
I had half a glass of red with the lovely meal Gordi prepared on the Sunday, and that was my sum total of alcohol consumption.

I much preferred getting drunk on the atmosphere and energies that is Cumbrae.

The Boys LOVED their fingerless gloves Jane!!

And.... I LOVED my gloves too!!

BUT...

The “Other” bit didn’t fit me very well, and it took me ages to work out where to wear it!

Have you got one in a smaller size at all??

(I’d never seen a nose-warmer before!) LOL

After the sun had gone, we spent some of the time back indoors – Cody and G strumming the guitars, and the girls chatting & story-swapping, and some time out on the Rocks of The Ocean Bar, looking up at the night sky!

AND I may have FORGOTTEN to mention that earlier in the evening... I MAY have accidentally approached Tsu... and... whilst announcing;
“OHH! By the way – I OWE YOU ONE!!”
I MAY have accidentally removed my trousers to reveal a shocking Red Pair of WALES Rugby Shorts, which I MAY then have Booty-Danced in... accidentally of course!!

But she did take it in good heart! (Even though she may ACCIDENTALLY have hit the VIDEO RECORD button on her camera, rather than the Take Photo one...!!!! THIS is going to cost me a fortune in Bribes!! LOL)

Just like in The Shed, the time just FLEW-by that evening and before I knew it, after putting the world to rights with Tsu (as the rest of the crew had long since retired for the evening – LIGHTWEIGHTS!) I finally got to bed after about 6am!!
Early next morning, just before 9.30am (YES, 3 hours after getting to sleep...) I got a lovely wake-up call from Rodi, with his beautiful soft, dulcet tones whispering...
“OI!! GORDI!!! GET UP OUT OF IT, YOU LAZY F^%$%G B*^&%^D!!!”
A smile crossed my lips, as I gently floated from my bed, and wafted sylph-like to the toilet, to be greeted by a hideous Ogre of a man!!! Like me, but older.... wrinklier... with big baggy eyes, and a more weather-beaten, tired and haggard look... I will definitely have to MOVE THAT DAMN MIRROR!!!

At this point I would normally post a pic of Cody in a compromising position.... But that would just be mean...
Ablutions completed, it was time for breakfast, but I was not yet ready to face the task and so delegated it to Cody!! Who became master of the Morning grill!
We had Sausages and Eggs, Bacon COOKED IN Jane’s WONDERFUL COCONUT OIL (Nom Nom) and a rather Scottish speciality of Square Sliced Steak Sausage with Black (Blood) Pudding and/or Haggis in the centre.
I think I may have confused Cody by insisting that my eggs be GRILLED!!! LOL
But he did a sterling job, and that certainly set us up for the day ahead...

Before becoming comatosed Gordi was good enough to drive us to his flat, and let us in. We needed to sort out the sleeping arrangements, "I'll take Tsu " I said, earning me a laugh from from Gbro and slap up side the head from Mrs C, apparently that was not what he meant

Imagine our surprise when we found waiting for us in the corner BFFT !!!

I asked Gbro to toast with a scotch and he said "I'll stick with the beer for the noo, once I'm on the scotch I like it too much" ............................ UNDERSTATEMENT

The beers were cracked and the rum started to flow, Gordi played guitar and I made a bloody fool of myself, having cut off part of a finger a while ago and being well out of practice.

We eventually cracked the first bottle of scotch and it slowly sort of gets fuzzy from there. Come the morning we received a phone call from Rodinus who asked if might gently awaken the the sleeping beauty ? I turned the volume up to maximum and asked him to proceed

Once the slumbering giant had staggered bouncing off the walls and eventually by sheer chance falling through the door to the toilet we held our collective breath. Only to be greeted with

"I think I'd better make the breakfast" I said "Gordi doesn't sound too well !!

Cody

ETA: I think was slightly more factually accurate Gbro

The weather on the Saturday was scorching!
Clear Blue Skies, Warm Sunshine and not a proper cloud in the sky, so we gathered the troops to discuss what we all wanted to do next!
“A BIKE RIDE around the Island!”
“See The Sights!”
“A Walk OVER THE TOP of the Island!”
“The PUB!!”
...Came the suggestions!

So, we decided to compromise, by taking a short walk to see the sights (mainly of our wonderful Cathedral) and then to take a longer Bike ride around the Island!

The walk up to the Cathedral is lovely, with lots of green trees and hedgerows framing the lane which leads up to the most fantastic little gothic building & churchyard you’ve ever seen!

It was then that I looked upwards and caught a glimpse of what I thought was maybe Homer and his buddy??

“Maybe he didn’t see us?” I thought, and sent out a message that he could at least have acknowledged the trouble all of the gatherers had gone to – coming up to Scotland and all that!
AND... within moments... A SCOTTISH SALTIRE APPEARED!!!! Cheers Homer!! LOL

Dowsing Lessons and a walk in the Cathedral grounds were next on the agenda, and Jane seemed to enjoy finding all of the energy lines that crossed the Grounds and small Labyrinth maze!

Then it was into the Cathedral itself for a quick service by The Reverend Lamb, and his assistant Padre Tsu!

I forgot to mention Gordi's brilliant idea for dinner that night

He suggested wee make pizzas to our own taste and then share them, sort of a modern day take on the old fondu, a great way to break the ice and get to eat at the same time.

Mine of course was a masterpiece There were also the runners up and the wooden spoon went to

Just saying

Once we arrived on the island and dumped the luggage, Gordi took us on a wee drive around the Island. We eventually took a short walk to the highest point.....you know....that place where Cody was the highest man on the island once Gordi had parked his bahookie!

Somebody has a picture of me wafting a 'wand' about up here. I've promised to get it 'done up' especially for the shed.

This beautiful flower is only about 1cm!!!

The day after our pizza supper and an evening at The Ocean Bar, I got up and set off along the sea front. The rest of the gang were either sleeping or just rousing.

This lovely building is known as The Garrison.

The tide was out....

On my return, Codi was well into the throes of preparing breakfast...and delicious it was too.
Then we set off for the smallest cathedral in Europe....

This is the approach we took, and I believe the buildings are part of the old monastery...I'm sure Gordi will correct me if I'm wrong

This is the 'labyrinth' I walked whilst dowsing...

Inside the wee cathedral.....with a ghostly image!

The main stained glass window above the altar

And these are of a smaller window in the side chapel which pre-dates the main cathedral

This next one is the inscription which is very sad, at the bottom of the window above. I had to have the picture as MacLaren is my clan.

I'm going to shut up now....I'm starting to sound like a tour guide!!!

Naw! keep it up Jane! Pictures of you in Bibs make me want to send you a straw hat and a piece of grass to put between the teeth. Maybe even boots as well.

You're doing a fine job with your story telling.
