Solitude...Some poems

Couldn't share this in the writers section, kept getting the message that I didn't have permission to post there or something. So I'll share this with you guys here.

Solitude

The poet and the artist,
imagery and verse,
their sentiment mirrored
in a heart that really loves you.

Snow falls like silent magic
and somewhere in the darkness
stars hang lonely on their velvet empty stage
as I revel in the solitude
and precious thoughts of you.

And another...

Enchantment
I've lost count of the tears that have fallen,
crystal droplets of regret
since you've been gone.

There was a time when hearts touched
and memories were made,
but too easily did we walk away
into the silence and shadows.

Sometimes we find ourselves
so easily tangled in the web of life,
but still I love you and wanted you to know
love's enchantment beats fierce and deep
within a heart that never sleeps.

Hope

What is this strange sensation
that lifts our lives
above the darkness,
past shattered dreams and illusions,
past all-consuming fear and pain
that dwells within us all?

What is this strange sensation
that lurks between the shadows and the light
and wakes the dormant soul?
This thing called hope.

In Silent reverie
I think of days gone by,
of wishes on wings,but never meant to be.

Waves crash down,
rolling thunder,
natures' song,

and in the darkened chamber
the ever longing
of a heart too sorrowful to speak,
these pinions of hope beat
like the love
within the dream
that never died...

I think you need "Writer" status to get to open threads there.

Awwwww, thanks so much!!!! Yeah, but don't you have to win a contest first? I tried searching info for that. I'll never get writers status if I have to win a writers contest! Good Lord, too many awesome writers around here!

Aww, sweetie...your poetry is beautiful, but so sad.
I agree, you deserve writer status here. Writers have different styles, and I certainly can't express myself in the way that you can.

While yours tugs at the heart-strings....I'm more likely to write: You crapped on our love from far above, you miserable lying SOB, and you're girlfriend fell from the 'ugly' tree....lol...

Lovely poems. But to agree with the rest, you should keep going.

As long as someone enjoys what they do. In the end it's going to be about what you make of the opportunity presented before you. Continue or don't your call. Just be aware the people here are supporting you.
