We are way smarter than animals.please let's be,real here. Do you know an animal that can build a rocket to the moon. Cook a chicken drive a bus do math (tricks aside) learn languages sail a boat GOSH I could list activities all day. Animals eat poop and make little versions of themselves. Hive animals like ants or bees consider only the hive or nest not the individuals ant or bee. I know from reading here that a lot of people don't hold humans in high regard and I wonder if they feel the same about themselves or their family members and I'm thinking no. They don't consider their family and friends evil or stupid but they consider other humans evil or stupid. It doesn't really make sense. Anyway we are the most intelligent species on the planet and we are way ahead of any animal. I'd say to study something about brain structure. There's a lot to be found out just by looking at the differences in brain structure. From animals and human s. Apes are pretty smart as animals go but they are hands down way less intelligent than us. Let's hear it for the humans. We may not be perfect but we're pretty bright for all our faults.

Everyday we are learning that the "beasts" are more intelligent than we think.
Ever seen the Elephant artist?
Elephants endure months of physical abuse to learn how to hold a paint brush, draw a straight line and paint flowers and leaves on trees
For years they then paint the same repetitive painting over and over again, every single day, sometimes twice or three times a day
When training an elephant to paint, a sharp metal bull hook or nail is used to guide the paintbrush
When the elephant paints incorrectly they are beaten as punishment, often the hook is rammed into the elephants ear or they are hit on their head or trunk
Look for scars or beatings on the top of an elephants head or trunk from metal bull hooks used to train elephants for human ‘entertainment’
you have never watched Meerkat Manor. or Chimps go to war or plot murder on nature documentaries.

I wonder if humanity persist for one hundred thousand years more if we are going to have wars with others animals species in our planet, they are learning to avoid us, they are taking notice of our actions.
Wars are a human concept. Other animals live in the moment and don't plan wars. If we survive that long then it will only be because we learned to fundamentally change.

Heck he is a better artist than myself lol.
Awesome dude S&F.edit on 11-3-2014 by boymonkey74 because: (no reason given)
To most of the members of the audience, what they have seen appears to be almost miraculous. Elephants must surely be almost human in intelligence if they can paint pictures of flowers and trees in this way. What the audience overlooks are the actions of the mahouts as their animals are at work.
This oversight is understandable because it is difficult to drag your eyes away from the brushes that are making the lines and spots. However, if you do so, you will notice that, with each mark, the mahout tugs at his elephant's ear.
He nudges it up and down to get the animal to make a vertical line, or pulls it sideways to get a horizontal one. To encourage spots and blobs he tugs the ear forward, towards the canvas. So, very sadly, the design the elephant is making is not hers but his. There is no elephantine invention, no creativity, just slavish copying.
Investigating further, after the show is over, it emerges that each of the so-called artistic animals always produces exactly the same image, time after time, day after day, and week after week. Mook always paints a bunch of flowers, Christmas always does a tree, and Pimtong a climbing plant. Each elephant works to a set routine, guided by her master.
