The soul is not a complete seperate entity trapped in the body.

The soul exists without a body. When it is incarnate (in a body), it is integral to the living thing (animals have souls also).
When the soul leaves the body - it still remains a soul. The body dies (not talking about astral projection - that is when the body is resting while the soul explores other dimensions. Bodies need rest/sleep. Souls carry on whether the body is sleeping or not). I don't think that feeding the body corrupts the soul. Not in the slightest.

I do think that sleeping feeds the soul, however.

I object to man made rules being called 'gods law or you go to hell'. Truth is truth. God never told people that they'd go to hell for eating bacon. That is a rule made by uneducated men 4500 years ago when they didnt know how to cook meat properly so every time they got sick on pork, they thought God was punishing them.

Your 'god rules' aren't god rules. So I reject them as man made rules.
That doesn't mean I go willynilly around doing any damn thing ...
