The Cayton UFO Files.

A lot of folks from outside the U.K. may not of heard of David Cayton but he's a veteran researcher from Northern England and has done a lot of great research and investigation into the UFO subject -it states at his bio link that upon leaving the Design and Engineering labs at British Aerospace, he worked for over 15 years alongside policeman Tony Dodd (RIP) investigating UFO incidents for 'Quest International' and has covered many intriguing cases including the Milton Torres incident.

In the interview below he describes some truly unusual UFO reports - one in which three separate radar stations tracked an unknown object travelling at 12,000mph (and making right angle turns) over Cyprus in 1958 and another where a huge UFO was filmed by security cameras and seen by five engineers over Padiham Power station in Lancashire so it's well worth a watch if you're into that sort of thing.

Happy watching - the date's been stuck for a while now and realy can't be bothered finding out how to fix it.

Below is a nice tribute from Mr Cayton to his Quest International colleague Tony Dodds who had his own police UFO encounter on the North Yorkshire Moors in 1978:

Two UK police officers encounter UFO:

Date: December 12, 1978.

Location:Skipton, North Yorkshire, United Kingdom.

Summary:

At 4:30 a.m., a lonely police patrol car was driving on a remote country road along the Cononley Moor. In the car were Sgt. Anthony Dodd and Constable Alan Dale. They saw a bright white light that seemed to be diving towards them in a glide - a big shining disc which flew over their heads at a speed of about 40 mph. At its closest, it was hardly 100 feet away from them, so that they could see a number of details. "It was a huge thing, about 100 feet in diameter, and it made no noise whatsoever."

Statement:

"It had a dome with ports all around it. The bottom was surrounded by colored lights like neon lights in blue, red, green and white which blinked in a sequence as if they were rotating, and in the middle there were three spheres or hemispheres. It was a huge thing, about 100 feet in diameter, and it made no noise whatsoever. What fascinated me even more was that the object was enveloped in a kind of halo which made its entire metallic structure glow white. It flew slowly over our heads and seemed to land at a place behind a group of trees. But we couldn 't see or check that out because at that point it was too far away and in the middle of the moor."

Karl I use to belive at one time our governments would come out with some type of addmission. That thought is over 15 years old. After 60 years and not even the slightest budge only proves one thing. They are into something verry deep and I feel that only they are in control. So its up to us believers to keep up on everything of course minus the BS hoaxes and such.

Northstargal thanks for the reply, below are the two follow up interviews with David Cayton and in them are described some pretty remarkable UFO sightings, one in which a huge object was observed over the radio dish at Jodrell bank and another where people witnessed a massive black triangle over the Cheshire countryside.

Following on from David Cayton's report in the first video where engineers witnessed a UFO 'syphoning' electricity from a pylon at Padiham power station in Lancashire, there's a similar report below from Colusa in California on September 10th, 1976:

"The little ones were the same shape as the big UFO and they also had these two small lights on either side with blue light coming out of them. Each of the little ones was shining a light blue light on the metal towers near them and the entire towers were glowing blue,” Pecha said. "But inside those shafts of blue light was a darker, jerky stream of blue light that seemed to be flowing toward the UFOs, as if they were drawing electricity from the wires."
