Child Charged With FELONY For Allegedly Hitting Cop With A Snowball

Aint this some more crap to make you LOVE our LEOs gang??

A 13-year-old boy is facing felony charges after allegedly hitting a Chicago police officer with a snowball. The incident occurred last Wednesday, when a snowball was launched from a crowd of kids.

Here's the kicker: The kid charged was NOT the one who THREW the snowball in the FIRST PLACE!!!

The youth says that he isn’t even the one who threw the snowball. Instead, he says that he is being punished for not knowing who did throw it. As he was in a crowd of students, he asserts that there is no way the officer could even have seen him, but instead just went after the first person he spotted in the area where the snowball came from. The officer said that the snowball hit him in the arm.

To top it off, the doughnut muncher ADMITTED the snowball did NOT hit him, it hit the car!!!

He admits he was sitting in his police cruiser and wasn’t looking at the crowd when he was hit. After deciding who he thought threw the snowball, the officer charged the 13-year-old with aggravated battery to a peace officer, a felony.

So now, this poor kid is facing felony charges for hitting an LEO with a snowball that didnt THROW that didnt HIT the LEO
Yeah guys, way to go to set that kid on the right track for life

So..... To 'Fix' the fact that the people don't like you....you charge a youth....that snowballed your car...

Yep! That'll show them!!!???

How about making a fort to defend your spot....like any other human alive!?

Exactly!, if I was that LEO, I woulda called my buddies over and engaged in a friendly snowball fight

I have simply lost all respect for law enforcement. I do have a level of fear of them which I believe is their goal.

I used to try and see things from their point of view and give them the benefit of the doubt, but I have seen far to many videos of their actions. I always knew they were lazy but now they are just brutal, corrupt, or power hungry or a combination there of.

They remind me of the 80s Miami police force. Anyone that remembers them know exactly what I am talking about.

To be honest its not just police. Everyone these days thinks they are so god damned important, everyone has forgotten how to lighten up. Just when a police officer does it it's ten times worse because suddenly this kid is part of the justice system.

Hopefully he will get the book thrown at him so he can be rehabilitated in juvy. That 70% recidivism rate is sure to set him straight!!

Like I said in another thread, the LEO's should be congratulated for not rounding up and shooting all the kids to ensure their version of "justice" was meted out and the perpetrator punished for this sick sick twisted crime.

When I experienced my first snowstorm as a kid we through snowballs at some of the neighbor cars and most would honk, laugh or throw some back after they parked. There was one spooky dude who came after us and made a mountain out of a mole hill. Kind of wrecking a good night with his threats and lecture. I remember thinking these are the kind of nut jobs that will shoot you. Now it seems they are the type hired to serve and protect.

Allot of weak pussies amongst LEO's these days, this doesn't surprise me at all.

It all began with all the spitting laws sponsored by jailers, prison guards and LEO's that were enraged despite beating and chaining people up they could still show the ultimate disrespect by spitting at them. Of course there has never been or will never be any documented case of anyone catching anything from being spatted upon. They have successfully passed laws to make it a felony to do so using false data claiming their exposure to viruses and whatnot in spit is potential deadly weapon

True story..when I was a cop...a group of 18-20 yr olds were throwing snowballs at passing cars....well 2 of the kids noticed I was in a squad car but one didnt and he threw a snowball at my car...I pulled over and got out and he stood there with this look of horror on his face....He then apologized for hitting my car with a snowball....I told him he caused a bit of danger to the cars coming by and that an accident could have occurred because of his actions...He apologized again as well as the other 2 guys with him. I said there is only one way to settle this...I then allowed them to have a 2 minute or so snowball fight with me hahhah.

Like 2 years later I ran into the same kid on a different call...there had been a fight in the area...I was trying to figure out what happened and no one would talk...he came up to me reminded me of our snowball fight and then proceed to help me step by step with what happened during the fight I was investigating.

Edit: I see someone already mentioned a snowball fight above hahah great minds think alike!

Would have been funny to see the cop get peppered like in the movie Elf. Ha Haaaa.

Around Christmas time there was a commercial running on television that showed spontaneous snowball fights erupting between people, kids and employees like mailmen, cops, trash collectors, etc...

The message was something like "its not just kids who need a winter break".

The first time I saw it I thought yeah, right. The first kid to hit any one of these people with a snowball is going to be arrested and sued.

Glad to know my cynicism is on point with reality. Well, not really glad. Depressed and angered actually.

Deliberate so we get used to the absurdity and outrage of it all?

These sorts of reports are on the increase, almost exponentially it seems to me...is there going to be a point where we are no longer open-mouthed saying WTH?!!

If it becomes all very 'normal' through sheer numbers of occurence, that is what's going to happen...it'll be just another ordinary LEO assault, miscarriage of justice, brutality, murder...and so on.

I wouldnt doubt it.

When I lived in a crime-ridden city years ago people would carry five and ten dollar bills on them just so they had something to give a mugger so they wouldnt get beat up or killed.

It was, and as far as I know still is, a forgone conclusion that you will be mugged, robed or assaulted.

They were effectively desensitized to it. It was just a thing that happened and nobody expected the police to do anything about it.

So desensitization to police absurdity/abuses will happen.

If you've ever spent time in some of the former soviet republics folks there assume police corruption. Cops will hang out by your parked car and when you return they'll demand money for "watching it" for you or they'll follow you home and demand a fee for the "escort".

We're not too far off from that happening here. Some cities are further along the path than others.

We used to do this all the time in my neighborhood when we were kids during the winter. All vehicles were a point. Cop cars were 5 points.
Weren't too many opportunities for cop cars unfortunately. Really, the most fun part of it was getting chased. One time we hit a car and guy stopped and gave chase, I got away with two other guys, my brother ended up getting cornered by the guy who proceeded to whup the snot out of him. We were 11-13 yo at the time. Unfortunately for the guy, my brother recognized him as a substitute teacher at school and the guy ended up getting 5th degree assault and losing his teaching license forever. Now, if it was cop, my brother could have still gotten the whupping and any other kind of charges and it would be all legit. Now I don't really condone throwing snowballs at cars anymore, but it was really fun at the time. As evidenced, it can be quite dangerous.

Another time, when we were like 19-20 yo, we were getting drunk and decided it would be fun, so we were driving around with a box full of snowballs pegging off cars. One of us hit this truck, and dude was pissed, he chased us and we ended up trapped in a cul-de-sac. He gets out of his truck and starts yelling and my brother is yelling back, then the guy goes back to the truck and next thing you know, he's got his compound bow and arrow pulled back threatening to shoot my brother. They argue for a few more minutes, the whole time this guy's got the bow and arrow on him. I whisper something along the lines of, "Dude, his arms gonna get tired here pretty quick", and somehow the situation calmed down and we all apologized to each other and went on our separate ways. Like I said, dangerous stuff. That was the last time I ever went "bombing cars".

I have learned to give little credence to stories that conveniently leave off a single name. There's no way this story would not have, at the very least, the officer's FIRST name. I call 'shenanigans to incite people's anger' on this one.

Of course, I may be wrong and, if that's the case...the reporter should learn how to add information to stories...otherwise, they may as well work for The Onion.

I grew up in small town America, a couple of decades ago, when it snowed, if you threw a snowball at a cop, he would turn, and with an evil grin, quickly make a snowball of his own and throw it at you!

Gone.... I suppose a kid that does this in these times should consider themselves lucky if the cop doesn't shoot them.

The kid should have been shot, it obviolsy was a weapon and as such should have been met with lethal force..... Im mean the policeman could have gotten a bit wet or cold and what would of happend if he had been carrying donoughts or coffee he may have dropped the!
