Denial of Ignorance [FEB2014]

This is a place of bitter truths, where secrets are revealed
a community of thousands, searching in the night

Lurking in the shadows, we find what was concealed
take it firmly in our grasp, bring it forth into the light

Some of us are genii, some of us insane
the thing we have in common, our search will never wane

One thing is for certain, we love this crazy ride
I for one will never stop, till ignorance is denied

I like this poem you have shared. Deny ignorance indeed...

Well done, it does a nice job of summing up our little community here, and I like the visuals brought forth. Also, I didn't realize that genie had a plural form until now, so thanks for that! =D

If I had to critique, I'd say that it's a bit short and that perhaps some of the words used to rhyme feel a bit cliched. Anyway, thanks for sharing!

i agree it is a bit short but i only had a small window of time to do it and i am all about quality over quantity..

i also agree that some of it may seem slightly cliched however my vocabulary only extends so far and making it flow in a way i was happy with is so much more difficult than you would imagine

P.S Genii is plural for genius not genie (that would make no sense)

No problem, I actually did really like the first two lines in particular, because I feel it kind of sums up humanity's place in reality as a whole at this time.

Oh, and about genii, apparently it's used as the plural of both words.
