I'm kinda getting hooked on Google Earth. It's kinda interesting to be able to see so many places that you'd probably never visit. It's just interesting to actually zoom in on such remote places, and then in the developed nations you can actually zoom around the streets and see what the buildings look like, so you get a sense of what it's like. It's quite the thing really, like you can actually get a sense of what the world is like. from what I've seen so far I'm kinda shocked by a lot of things. It got me thinking I'm actually living in a pretty good place all things considered. There's far better of course but there's far far worse. But ya it can be kinda fun actually. Have you found anything really weird on there?

I couldn't resist... sorry.

Google maps blows my mind constantly. I can look up my street and see my vehicle in the driveway. It's beyond creepy of course but still fascinating that we have the technology to do that. I guess it shows my age to be so amazed by it regardless of how many times I have used it.

I have never found anything interesting myself, but I did see a website at one time that had a whole bunch of google map images that somehow slipped by. I can't recall what it was called but maybe someone else will know it.

ETA... Here is one site: www.streetviewfun.com...

Google releases new app. They'll now use satalites to track your kids. So at any point if you want to see where they are you just go on Google earth and you'll be able to find them, see who they're with, see what they're doing, and make sure they're okay. Then eventually it will be something anyone can use to look up anyone and see what they're doing. Just type in the name of the person and you'll be able to track and see what they've been doing, where they've been going, etc etc. In 10 years that will be the next google earth

Isnt there a feature where you can take a tour of the city as well? I think there is and when I used it I found that fun, and i would "walk" the streets.

Good way to kill an hour or two, while eating a cheeseburger, drinking a beer and having porn in the background...LOL.

I wonder if it would rip a hole in the space/time continuum if Google Maps had you On Google Maps looking at Google Maps????

Mind = Blown

I love Google Earth. That being said, if we the public are allowed to use that, then you can only imagine what "they" have. They can zoom in on a dime and see it in HD LIVE. They can zoom in on your address and watch live, learn you and your family's habits--know everything about you, follow you, listen to you. They like to do that, ya know. I bet they get an eyeful when they watch me at play.
