Did the government shutdown affect you?

I was an excepted employee, so I was still working, although not being paid. I will get my pay at the end of the month. However, I know many contract employees who missed out on three weeks of pay and they won't ever get that back, since they are contract employees. They sure were hurt by this mess.

I also have several friends in the aircraft industry who were laid off because the money from their government contracts was not coming in. Hopefully they will get recalled soon.

Another government shut-down is possible at the end of next week. From what I see in this thread, it didn't ruin anybody's life in 2013.

But, I'm sure the liberal media will point out how this one will be especially devastating, because Donald Trump is President.
