Pumpkin, Pumpkin nice, round and Orange
I can't think of anything that rhymes with Orange?
A single solitary fruit sitting lonely in a little patch
In my yard a fortunate Autumn surprise I did catch

For this wonder I had neither planted or planned
One of my favorites of fall just sprung up so grand

I love to eat your seeds, with a delightful crunch
A handful, a mouthfull I can't wait to munch!

Are you a present just for me to keep me happy?
As the clouds approach so dark and gloomy
Loving the Fall so much, I find simply amazing
The colors so vibrant and suddenly changing

All the leaves start to fall to Earth
Drift down in Yellow, browns and deep red
And yet they are not truly dead
but awaiting the springs everlasting rebirth

Oh Pumpkin, Pumpkin don't bee lonely I am near!
Toward the end of the summer season in one day will turn
So I await another day to create a wonderful jack-o-lantern
And soon the Great Pumpking King will be Here!

We know who loves pumpkinpie !!

"Ye powers wha mak mankind your care,
An’ dish them out their bill o’fare,
Auld Abeverage wants nae skinking ware
That jaups in luggies;
But, if ye wish his gratefu’ prayer,
Gie him a Pumpkin!"

(lol if only I could become so vested in the way a squash made me feel. I need more passion fruit!)

Why thank you! We typically have some pumpkin juice with bit more of kick to it!

I decided also to add another photo to show how this little surprise showed up.

Nice, my favorite season is Fall. There's something about it that I love; maybe it's the between time of things gone and things to come.

My man card will be revoked for this but oh well I have endured worse...

I like fall because you can wear sweaters without it being bitterly cold yet. You can get some yard work done without sweating. It might rain so you can sit cozy and watch the puddles gather. To me fall is an introspective time, without the melodrama of winter...

Man card reinstated lol. Love cuddling up inside on a cold blustery Fall day. Nothing wrong with wearing sweaters, either. Yes, less melodrama from Fall as its more of a transition time.

Hmm I have a great poem I wrote for spring, but not one for Fall, other than the Ode to the Pumpkin. Maybe I will write one...

Where is FFlorida? is that the part that is cold? I went there once Florida that is, I am not sure I will return. If Orlando Airport was not the 7th circle of hell, it was at least on of the connecting hubs...

I am from MN where fall's colors are brilliant oranges, reds and yellows from Maple trees, in particular. I recently moved to FL because of, well lets just say circumstances I have no control over, so the F in front of Fl means...I'm sure you can guess. LOL I'm trying to make the best of things and thankfully I have you fine folk on ATS to talk to and spend time with 'till I figure out what I want to be when I grow up....

I may give FFlorida another chance someday dunno...
My parents moved me to a podunk town for my high school years so I know the feeling. Hmm not sure if ATS is the best place to figure out what you want to be when you grow up! lol the best advice I may have is...nosce te ipsum

I thought I knew myself... not so sure anymore. There's still time, though right? At my age I should be able to look in the mirror and know myself, life and it's curve balls.

Since I don't know your age I will offer you this. You can always learn until you stop living and we always change.
