Was curious if any one noticed the story in Science Daily
about the very human looking gears found in an insects jumping mechanism ?
I did search ATS first but didn't see the story .
www.sciencedaily.com...
I'm trying to digest what it means, if anything;
In regards to why humans and nature have apparently come to the same design ?
Isn't evolution stumbling through time?
This is so purposeful, not to elude to anything.
Is this a "what other way would the mechanics for this work" type scenario ?
And if so, why not fluid hydraulics? Or something that doesn't look so
much like human made machinery. I don't know... less symmetry ?
Is it the tiny size of the gears that bring a forced symmetry ?
Does this mean space could be filled with more Nature made Gears ?
Or is this a relatively rare occurrence happening only on Earth like planets ?
What happens when a cog breaks?
How come a bug got it but I didn't ?
I like to be able to jump straight up 300 feet and live.
Have at it brains of ATS.
It's just so darn Human looking!
It bugs me..get it?
