WOW... Syrian Electronic Army OPBLACKOUT Countdown Site?!

My friend sent me a website link that shows a countdown timer and is set for October 1st.
I started researching my self and it looks like the website comes from this facebook page of SEA (Syrian Electronic Army). SEA FACEBOOK PAGE
The page is blowing up in likes recently, I don't know how many of you guys have heard of this strange website and this "OPERATION BLACKOUT".

I was amazed by the site because it also shows an anonymous logo in the background and It says "THE PATH TO WW3 ; ALERTING ALL SOCIAL MEDIA SITES & AP PERSONEL".

Wierd as hell, I wonder what you guys think this is? Maybe this is a staged event or a hoax...

Seems everywhere I look I see predictions of October 2013, there are at least 3 on ATS alone.. and now this site is predicting October 2013 the start of ww3..... but there are many weird websites... although with so much deceipt and fraud and lies, no one knows what is truth or fiction anymore... confusion reigns..

I think they are two separate entities, as for the 1st, seems much less threat like than the anonymous video.

I mean a facebook page, are the SEA guys socially awkward high schoolers? I'm surprised no one has gone after the mass broadcasting of television signals, I mean a facebook fanpage? wow the terrorist / baddies aren't very creative.

I do dread the days we have to worry about creative super villains, you may laugh now but when it happens cuz someone evil doppelganger was given a chemistry set at age 5, don't ask to hide under my bed, it's only clearing 3 inches.

Anywho, someone will actually complete that of what they set out to do, so better to prepare now with the how than laugh at the why.

I never heard about that happening. I say a hoax propaganda work. Just like the Syrian Electronic Army. A hoax. The recent hacking of the NYT was the UK attacking them over Snowden leaks.

Are they linked? I'd love to put this HUGE braintrust to work on ATS and see what we can find out!

I don't know much about this or anonymous..but I will say..I don't put much into either..I don't really think they are as big or as bad as they like to boast If not why not do good things..like hack everything and put it out for the world to see..maybe take down the credit bureaus..hack the fed..hack politicians and spread the info far and wide..Why not make it big and drain the banks and then distribute the cash amongst everyone..do something cool like on that movie Now You See Me...I mean come on..what have any of them really done?????

I'm almost getting my fill of this too...how many "FEMA" emergencies can there be? It seems we have one at least once a year...Fema can't rub two sticks together to make fire...you really put anything into them preparing for an emergency that covers a 4-5 states..yikes..don't head there..I would get as far away from FEMA as I could They really don't seem to have the credibility, intelligence, or even basic know-how to do much...

Because that might cause them to lose there CISSP certificates or EA certificates. ISC2 takes hacking serious. After all they work for the US government. Although you do have the UN hacking teams also like Telecomix working out of Sweden. Boris at Jaded Security got in trouble for releasing information on hacking the Florida voter database. He pulled his UN certificates to say what he did was legal by the UN and he is a Israeli American.

If you look around you can see we are just inside a giant chess game, that once common folk can play the board is wiped for a new game....

Not much more can be said really, cept checkmate.

You could be right, I just ran into this thedesk.matthewkeys.net... Looks like the Fbi is interested in SEA and they're moves for some reason. Since the fbi put sea on it's radar, I think this is much more of a concern that I previously thought.

Thanks, Dreine. I know that Anonymous has engaged in a what looks to be a long term operation by the same name, #OPBlackout. #OPBlackout was to be a multiphase operation engaged by Anon. Considering the lack of love between the two groups and the SEA's taunts of Anon not doing what they promised, I wonder if they are going to attempt to actually do whatever is the final phase for the operation considering they are featuring very symbols that Anon uses in their own videos?

SEA was responsible for the massive market near crash a few months ago and, honestly, I think they knew what they were doing:


If it were something along the lines of that again, however, I think it would probably be named differently. Probably am flagged to holy hell now for trying to dig up more information on the SEA and #OPBlackout but, honestly, I'm not usually very unsettled by things and this unsettles me. Much of what I'm seeing being linked has been removed at this point. That doesn't help to reassure me in the slightest.

I'm still digging. It's hard to confirm if it is real as the website for the Syrian Electronic Army isn't apparently available. Looking at what seems to be their (lol...) facebook and twitter accounts, I haven't found any of them linking to this particular website save one. It looks like something occurred with both of their accounts sometime in the last week. ThePro, who is referenced by Vice as being one of their top hackers, however, links to a different facebook page from the one hosting the link to #opblackout as being the official facebook of the SEA. Looking at his blog--nothing there either linking the two. The one he references in his twitter is filled with arabic text. The one with the link to #opblackout doesn't have any. . One thing weird is that going to that countdown site, my Disconnect had over 300 Google content requests.

Real or not? I don't know but I sure hope the NSA knows that I'm just concerned about this.



Adding this here to keep this remark on page 1 where it should be seen: One more thing-- ATS is the only place where this website has been linked so far. That's pretty sketchy in and of itself if the SEA really was sending out a "warning".
