Currently the space available on the ISS is rather small and I doubt whether such a small space station will have enough area available to grow enough plants - even if they are crammed in a corner and hydroponically cultivated. We really need a station on the Moon to begin to develop all these kinds of things if we are really serious about long space missions, but I suppose a large space station would do if there was not an option of colonising the Moon. (for whatever reason)
