Fair enough.

Micheal Hastings isn't on the list.

Perhaps he is still alive after all?

Or perhaps they just don't want to remind people?

I can't imagine a news agency with a list of casualties from 2013 missing such an obvious figure.

Neat, but what I saw missing on that page I found on this page;
CNN: people we've lost in 2013

Go down to Journalists and media figures, and you'll find the droids you're looking for. (well not droids but Michael Hastings is there)
