Even Discovery Channel is admitting America might no longer be the world's superpower

In the early 21st century, Americans wondered if their country was in free fall while other nations grew -- politically, culturally and militarily. By 2050, they may not have to wonder. Halfway through the century, the economies of China and India will likely continue to outpace the United States, and the Gulf States and European Union -- notwithstanding its financial crises -- will be forces to be reckoned with, both economically and diplomatically. With Discovery channel even admitting America is declining I wonder how much more mainstream media will it take before it convinces the general population that America Superpower status is on it's heyday. Everytime I told my dad America is losing it's superpower status he simply said it's not gonna happen. Even CBS reported in 2010

And you say this like Discovery (and Matt Lake) is some kind of authority on anything and not simply the mouthpiece of pop-science writers and supposition.

This is a giant "What If" story and should be treated as such.

There is only two things left that make the U.S a superpower .
One our military is still 5 times as large as the next country . and much more advanced.
two we still hold the world hostage with the American doller being the worlds base trade currancy .
With our deficit so high cuts to the military have alreday begone and in ten years our equmint will be falling apart just like it was before ww2 .
and as for our money well taht could be worthless tommrow and is quickly louseing its value around the world as more and more countrys relize the U.S can not back its currancy .

The US is 2nd after China when it comes to active military. If you count the reserves and paramilitary too they are way down.

China has also stolen just about everything the US had in technology advantage. In addition the pentagon is so bogged down in red tape that they haven't even managed to get the new fighters out the door.

I wouldn't count on you being the strongest any more.
