He wasn't mocking at all. He merely asked a simple question. I'd like to see an answer too, because the linked article provided in the OP is pretty much telling muslim women to shut up. And that Muslim men can have more than one wife, but can a muslim woman have more than one husband? Who the hell made men more superior than women? Men talk about beautiful women all the time, but women can't talk about men?

I'm seeing oppression and domination being discussed in that article, not even close to spiritual enlightenment or true knowledge, but rather complete ignorance of human nature.
