Does it even matter, not really.

When an entire race a getting blamed for something that seperatist groups are committing, yes it does matter. Let's say our governments were these terrorists and the Muslims were doing what we are to them. Would it matter then? Yes, because we would be getting blamed for something we are not involved in and down the track if the tables ever do turn, they will remember this so we should be very careful how we treat them. These types of things live long in the memory and we should be supporting the innocents who get caught up in this mess where ever they are from.

We may need there help against our government one day and what do you think they are going to do? They will say "Your dreaming idiots"... "Where were you's when your government tore our countries apart".

The idea was to show that Muslims were warned about the Christian/Judeo alliance a long time ago and even with that warning, they have found a way to ignore it.

Regarding verse 5:51 that you quoted earlier... it refers to alliances with certain Christians and Jews who were hypocrites... and took Islam for a joke. Keep reading till verse 57 in that same chapter to get a better understanding.

The only alliance the Jews and Christians have is political..not spiritual. Jewish and Christian beliefs are theologically incompatible.

But yes, the Koran gives an accurate description of the Jewish / Christian perspectives on Islam...

Never will the Jews be pleased with you, neither the Christians, not till you follow their religion.
-Koran 2:120

That's exactly what it's about and the Zionist/Christian alliance is the perfect example right now... They are trying to destroy spirituality all over the place while they also proclaim to come in the name of spirituality.

You may be right but it's better to try and understand the other sides point of view instead of just dancing around in the streets with flags and saying "Bomb them all".... Our problem is our lack of understanding when comes too others and we have very good liars in our countries who have contributed to this also. By just reading this thread you possibly understand a little bit more than you did beforehand..

good point. I had not paid attention to it.
I think the word (اولیاء) means something more than ordinary friendship or alliance. it means guardian or master or crown. it is saying that do not take them as lords or master or do not rely on them as guardians.
your point recalls me the situation in Syria. the radical rebels are disappointed and they want to withdraw but the International Zionism system is still pomping them with weapons and ordering them to remain and fight.
those rebels are just some slaves, or puppets not even an ordinary or honorable ally.

The rebels are apparently fighting for what was a Western organised transitional government so yes, the West are going to do anything in their power to make sure the rebels keep fighting. Anything else including Assad keeping power in the country would be nothing more than a failure and now it's also getting to the point where the only option left would be to start attacking openly themselves. The rebels are copping a caining.

Imagine for a second that the tables were turned and we had radical Christians doing these kinds of things do you think the mainstream followers would remain as silent.

Mainstream Muslims need to do a better job of distancing themselves from these radicals. Until they finally grow a set and say enough is enough countries will need to defend themselves. If so many of them are against this crap why are they so silent?

And ya I know Christians in the past have done terrible things in the name of God but lets talk about today.

A lot of Muslims today are still dealing with oppressive governments. I am in Algeria, and yes there is problems here but the general population keeps quiet for fear of violence. Also, Muslims believe God created all people, so to kill a person is forbidden as a person is a creation of Allah.

You are not the only ones. I'm sure a lot of people fear our governments here in the West also and what happens when we make a stand? We are met with the exact same as you's though some of the regimes (Mostly Western back) are brutal in the Middle East. What you say is a very good point. If these extremists and dictatorships are not following the word of Allah, then who is motivating them? It certainly isn't Islam.

The same root of all the problems occurring around the world.
Greed.
Religion is used to control people in troubled times. Instead of thinking of the bombs raining down on you, the anarchy taking over, why not think about how you will spend the rest of your lifetime in paradise?

Muslims are not controlled by their religion, they love their religion. They are being controlled by the exact same systems that control the West. The only difference is when they protest etc, their governments are not a kind as ours. Muslims do have a voice, it's just our media don't want you to know about it.
