The offers of dialogue by the United States and South Korea, while showing some softening, also expose the gulf in expectations between them and North Korea. ...
The North has also put forward its own terms for talks, including the lifting of United Nations sanctions for North Korea’s recent nuclear and missile tests, a precondition the United States is unlikely to accept.
Now that the bombers are no longer news i can go back to DPRK and the North Korea war act deux.

N. Korea accepts China's offer for dialogue: Japanese newspaper
TOKYO, April 20 (Yonhap) -- A senior Chinese official, such as top nuclear envoy Wu Dawei, could visit North Korea as Pyongyang indicated its willingness to talk with Beijing about ways to defuse tensions on the Korean Peninsula, a Japanese newspaper reported Saturday.
North Korea conveyed the intention to China in mid-April, the Asahi Shimbun newspaper reported citing an unidentified source. This has made South Korea, the United States and Japan believe that Pyongyang is less likely to press ahead with a medium-range missile launch, it said.
The Musudan missile, which is believed to be capable of reaching as far as the U.S. territory of Guam in the Pacific, still remains ready for a possible launch, but some missile units have begun withdrawing from the east coast, the report said.
North Korea had previously rejected China's offer to send an official to North Korea for talks, but Pyongyang appears to have changed its stance after the United States emphasized the importance of dialogue to defuse tensions, the report said. It also said that dialogue would gain traction after the U.S.-involved military exercises in the South end late this month.
China's chief nuclear negotiator Wu Dawei or a higher-ranked official could visit North Korea, the paper said. Wu, who is also scheduled to visit the United States next week, could act as a messenger between Washington and Pyongyang, the report said.
North Korea has sharply raised tensions on the Korean Peninsula, threatening attacks on South Korea and the United States, and warning of war in anger over a new U.N. Security Council resolution for its February nuclear test and the annual U.S.-South Korea exercises.

Pre-teen North Koreans trained as soldiers
QUOTE:
At the military school, where students work on desktop computers without Internet access and practice their English with chants such as "The respected Marshal Kim Jong Un is our father," classwork is infused with conflict.
"Because of the present situation, I am trying to study harder, because I really think that's how I can get my revenge on the American imperialists: by getting top marks in class," one student, Jo Chung Hyok, told The Associated Press.
"It's my revolutionary duty," Jo said. "I'm working extra hard to get top marks in military subjects like tactics and shooting."
The uptick in anti-American sentiment comes on the heels of international condemnation and U.N. sanctions for North Korea's long-range rocket launch in December and its underground nuclear test in February, which Pyongyang accuses Washington and Seoul of instigating. Joint U.S.-South Korean military drills south of the border also have incensed Pyongyang. END QUOTE:
So this is our future population. Knew it was happening in terrorist cells with endoctrating children but it always gets me when I hear them speak like this. Less than 24 hours ago Kim said he was going to turn the south into a sea of fire again so his mouth is still running. It's just that no-one is wasting ink on it right now (finally ignoring him as the media should).

Pyongyang, April 19 (KCNA) -- The U.S. is trying to give impression that it restrains military action and hopes for dialogue.
The present U.S. chief executive has become vocal about the step he has taken to stop a series of military exercises, while claiming that "the U.S. has no intention to attack north Korea" and the "U.S. duty is to prevent a war".
This is a trick to evade the responsibility for the wartime situation prevailing on the Korean Peninsula and shift the blame on to the DPRK.
The U.S. is a chief culprit and a provoker which stoked tension and created the vicious cycle on the Korean Peninsula while tightening "sanctions" on the DPRK and moving to provoke a nuclear war.
It was the U.S. which hurt the dignity of the DPRK with brazen-faced political provocation while incriminating the legitimate and peaceful satellite launch of the DPRK. It was again the U.S. which is staging the nuclear war rehearsal to remove socialist Korea from the earth.
The U.S. has been waging military exercises in the sky and sea of the Korean Peninsula for nearly two months with the involvement of strategic nuclear submarines and bombers, apparently creating a nuclear war atmosphere.
However, it is now crying out for dialogue and restraint of military actions, a sophism that can be made only by gangsters.
Even at this moment the U.S. is waging nuclear war drills targeting the DPRK and is moving its nuclear strike means to operational waters off the peninsula.
It even mulls launching an intercontinental ballistic missile, one of three strategic nuclear strike means.
Under this situation, the U.S. has become vocal about a U-turn made by it toward dialogue and negotiation. This is aimed to convince the public that the U.S. does something to ease the tension on the Korean Peninsula, and round off nuclear war preparations behind the scene.
There can be neither DPRK-U.S. dialogue nor denuclearization as long as the U.S. wantonly violates the sovereignty of the DPRK and persists in the moves for a nuclear war against it.
As long as imperialists exist on earth and nuclear threats from the U.S. have not diminished, the DPRK's dismantlement of nuclear deterrence for self-defence will be unimaginable and there can never be such a thing no matter how much water may flow under the bridge.
The DPRK declared its new strategic line on simultaneously pushing forward economic construction and building of nuclear force and legalized it.
The DPRK's nuclear deterrence, symbol of its dignity and sovereignty, can never be a political bargaining chip.
The nuclear force of the DPRK will remain as the most powerful means for safeguarding the sovereignty and the supreme interests of the DPRK and dealing retaliatory blows at the strongholds of enemies who seek aggression on the DPRK till the world, especially the U.S., has become denuclearized. -0-
